Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding will become a new part of your daily routine.

To start, prefer special nursing bras and nursing pads. 

To make your life easier, an electric breast pump might help, which makes the process easier and with which you can store the milk for later in special bags or bottles! 

To address possible irritations or pains, there are special creams for the nipple area!

Furniture & Seats

1. Port-bebe or Stroller  

It is perhaps the first type of seat you will use when leaving the maternity hospital.

2. Child Car Seat

If you haven't chosen a port-bebe that is also for the car, it is essential to have a special seat for safely transporting the newborn home.

The spot you need to be able to "change" the baby easily & comfortably.

Baby Cleanliness & Care

1. Bath 

For frequency and precise instructions, consult your pediatrician. 

On average, 3 times a week is sufficient, and the ideal temperature is similar to body temperature, that is, 36 to 37 °C.

2. Bathtub

Prefer a bathtub with an integrated thermometer, so you can check the temperature at any time to maintain the ideal temperature for the infant.

3. Nails 

Trimming nails, since they are delicate, requires caution. Get a baby nail scissors with rounded edges, which will minimize the chances of an accident.

4. Sterilizer

Because the baby's immune system is developing, anything that comes into contact with the child (pacifiers, bottles, etc.) needs to be sterilized. 

Beyond these, of course, you will need clothes and some consumables!

In conclusion, there will always be additional things you will need and probably hadn't anticipated, but the better you prepare, the fewer you will need later!
