It is the second defective product I have purchased within 1 year. I thought I was not lucky with the first one and ended up with a defective one, but it turns out I got another one and I am tired of going back and forth to the charger's service center in Athens. If it doesn't have a defect, then you are lucky to have a good charger in your hands
After 2 years of minimal use (about 3 to 4 times per month), it started showing that it charges batteries without me having placed them. I would not buy it again nor would I recommend it.
Guys, I had this XTAR charger and at first I was generally SATISFIED with its various indications, but after a year and a half the SCREEN broke and it doesn't show anything, only the light is on without icons and letters, and I bought it because it was supposed to be good but it was a failure, even though I took good care of it and stored it in a bag without vibrations and dust, and also used it in a well-ventilated environment without dust. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. And supposedly I bought a decent product that costs quite a bit considering the current economic crisis, but I have to say that I am very disappointed and I don't know if I would choose this company again.
The first one simply stopped working as soon as the warranty expired.
I got a second one that I will have to send to the dealership because the second port does not recognize the battery, you have to put it in and take it out ten times and it shows it almost full. It reaches 100% and when you put it in other ports it shows that it is almost empty. Get a cheaper model, it's not worth it
Charges all types of batteries, has a charging sound and many capabilities. Yes, it may be bulky, but when you want proper performance, the size doesn't matter, but the product's capabilities. Satisfied!
Readable screen. Does not charge with pulses, which is good.
Charging 0.5A x 4, 1A x 4, or 2A x 2 18650 batteries.
Unfortunately, it is huge in size. If you are only interested in 18650 batteries, you can definitely find chargers that are 20% to 50% smaller in size (without capacity test function).
Because if you are looking at this specific one, you are interested in the capacity test, otherwise you would look for cheaper solutions, I will mention the following:
I am not sure if the capacity measurement is inaccurate or if my batteries are playing tricks on me because each measurement gives different results with significant differences. One time, for example, 2800mAh and the next time 2500mAh. (genuine LG HG2 batteries)
When I buy new genuine batteries again at some point, I will come back with more certainty regarding the reliability of the measurements.

After 1.5 months of use (approximately 10-15 total charges), the base that holds one of the 4 springs broke, resulting in that specific slot not charging the battery unless you press something to make contact with the battery's negative pole. Unacceptable for such an expensive product to have such poor quality materials.

After 3 months of use, the device is permanently stuck in USB charging mode (even though I have never used USB charging, this is ridiculous). The result is that you can charge batteries, but only up to 1A max in slots 1 and 4, which normally support up to 2A. I searched the internet to find if there is a way to reset the device, but I couldn't find anything. I also sent an email to xtar support and they never responded (it has already been 1.5 months). Please, if any user knows if there is a possibility to reset, write something in the comments about the product.
Stay away because you will regret it, just like I did.
It does much more than simple battery charging. Battery activation is very powerful, as is the capacity control of the batteries. It can charge an external device through the USB port and can also be used as a power bank. It comes with a connection cable with a car lighter adapter and terminals for voltage and resistance testing of external batteries.
