The G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 RAM is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in the field of video and image processing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR4

DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM memory technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased up to 32GB per memory unit.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger the size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with our motherboard specifications.

The G.Skill Trident Z RGB provides speed at 3600MT/s, with CL16 and 8GB per memory unit.

Compatibility

The DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Specifically, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake series processors and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

The XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory, without the need for manual settings. The (XMP/EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, is available on certain RAM memories, and is supported by certain motherboards.

The Trident Z RGB DDR4 RAM has (XMP 2.0/EXPO) profiles with the following specifications:

RGB Lighting

The RGB lighting in the Trident Z series features all the means and functions to create a unique and impressive look on your computer.

This can be achieved either through the software provided by the company, Trident Z Lighting Control, or through compatibility with Sync Up software provided by motherboard companies. The advantage of Sync Up is that we can synchronize the RGB lighting of the entire computer.

The Trident Z is compatible with Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, and ASRock Polychrome Sync software.


Cooling & Design

The aluminum cooling material, with its design including fins for heat dissipation, keeps the memories at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

    Not all Samsung b-die kits are the same. There are different batches, and if you are looking for b-die, it is better to go for 3200 with flat 14 timings. Generally, kits with flat primaries are mostly b-die and have incredible overclocking headroom and voltage tolerance (temperature sensitive above 1.5v). The 2x32 F4-3600C16D-64GTZR kit I am looking at has timings of 16 22 22 42, which means it can have any chip under the sun!

    I have had them in my possession for 2 years on a RYZEN system, the use I make of them is EDITING/BLENDER/GAMING, purchased at a price of 157 euros, I have no words, UNBELIEVABLE MEMORY... more specifically:
    - [Samsung B-Die]
    - I run them at 3733Mhz with Infinity Fabric 1866Mhz Timings: 14-15-15-35 1.45v for two years non-stop and they are STABLE. Imagine that someone has to pay 210-230 euros from the factory for these speeds instead of 3733Mhz that I run them.
    - RGB with Asus AURA SYNC program is a gem inside the case for anyone interested in the Lighting Effect.

    IN SIMPLE WORDS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM... BUT only for someone who has demands from their system. If someone wants only GAMING, there are many other cheaper options that are more "VALUE FOR MONEY" without sacrificing performance.
    P.S.: I recommend to those who have Ryzen 3000 Series, INFINITY FABRIC, and MEMORY to be 1:1. Also, if someone cannot find these specific memories for some reason, they should look at the G.Skill TridentZ Neo [F4-3600C16D-16GTZN], which are the same memories in an upgraded version, just a little more expensive, around 20-25 euros more.

    I have it on a Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master motherboard and in combination with 4x8 dim32 GB, AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor, Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2080 Extreme 8GB graphics card, CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML360R RGB liquid cooling, CoolerMaster G750M power supply, (1) Samsung 970 Evo NVMe M.2 500GB SSD Windows, (2) Samsung 970 Evo NVMe M.2 500GB SSD, (3) TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 1TB HDD (64MB). They work perfectly at 3600 with just one click in the BIOS. I highly recommend it!

    With a gigabyte z370 gaming 7, they run at 3600mhz flawlessly with XMP enabled.
