Very good image even in low light conditions. Much wider angle and better clarity than my previous c922. Important note, if you want to mount it on a tripod, you need to carefully pull out the existing base to reveal the socket. It's not mentioned anywhere.
I needed a new webcam (it's the 4th or 5th, I can't remember) and I went to a 4HD store that also works with Windows Hello for face recognition and easy and secure login. No issues with installation on Win11, you just need to "tell" your application that you have a 4HD camera because by default it will go to plain HD. It works well everywhere (Teams, WebEx, Zoom, Viber, WhatsApp, etc.) and has automatic settings for low lighting and "upside down" mode. It produces a bit of "noise" in extreme conditions, but simply reducing the FPS or resolution fixes it immediately (so don't expect 60FPS on 4HD with the lights off!!!). It has a "clamp" base that attaches to the screen, plenty of cable, and a privacy "cap". The microphone is also good.
Windows 11: The IR LED used for Windows Hello face login is not activating. It seems to be a known issue. If you want this capability, get a different camera.
The image is perfect. As they say, it is the best on the market (for a webcam, otherwise you get a DSLR at triple the price). Although the Logitech c925e is probably equivalent, although not as good (maybe it has better sound). The sound of the Brio microphone is not anything great. It requires good lighting at night. Otherwise, the image has a bit of noise.
Also, the camera cable when connected to my desktop is fine. When connected to my laptop, for some reason that I have not yet been able to identify, it occasionally produces interference. The magnesium cable that ends in USB-A and I plug it into a USB-A 3.0 port has this problem. Another Apple cable (USB-C to USB-C, which goes into another port of the laptop) does not have this problem, and another cable (Belkin 3.2 ss10 USB-C to USB-C) has the same problem only when the adjacent USB-C port charges the laptop. Analyze that! I think this camera requires a lot of resources to work (even at 1080) and I don't know if the problem is that the laptop has settings that reduce the power of the ports, e.g. when charging the laptop, and then the camera produces interference.
I am the owner of the BRIO 4K Pro camera. When used outdoors or in a brightly lit area, the camera "burns" the image. It overemphasizes the white to the point where any object or person within the frame appears only as a light gray shadow, and the rest of the screen is white.
Unacceptable representation, no one answers anywhere.
The product is defective
Until the price drops back to €150, stay away! Even then, it doesn't seem like an ideal purchase.
Many times (in normal market conditions), you can find the C920 for €50 and the C922 for €70. Also, the Razer Kiyo for €80.
I believe the Brio doesn't suit anyone.
I own two versions of Brio, the C920, the C922, the Razer Kiyo, various Action Cameras, and DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, all of which have been used for testing and personal use either through direct connection or via a Capture Card.
No one needs a 4K Webcam. Wherever you use a Webcam, anything above 1080p is simply a burden on the processor. So maybe someone wants it for the 1080p 60fps it offers.
In the case of a YouTuber or Streamer who is interested in this, they can consider the c922 and the Razer Kiyo for their 720p 60fps, they won't need anything more in terms of resolution. Trust me.
The main problem with this Webcam, as well as most others, is that if the lighting is not sufficient, then there is a lot of noise in the image. Unfortunately, the Brio requires a lot of light to display "correctly" and without quality issues. If you don't want lights due to space constraints, for example, one solution is the Razer Kiyo, which comes with an integrated Ring Light.
Finally, it heavily relies on Logitech's software to run properly, which is a coinflip whether it will work correctly. It also doesn't retain settings upon computer restart.
Certainly, it is not a bad webcam. But it definitely is not worth its price, and I can't find any reason why someone would want a 4K Webcam. Almost the same result with €100 less (when the price is normal), can be achieved with a C920. Just remember that webcams require a lot of light or at least direct light at their center.
The image is not particularly good when you are in a room with artificial lighting. Too much "snow" in office conditions. Maybe in a large room with intense lighting it will look better. Great disappointment. The autofocus works quickly and correctly. The infrared also works perfectly with Windows Hello. Close-ups with perfect image, for example documents at a distance of 15-30 cm. Far shots are also perfect with excellent 4K quality. The problem is at about 1 meter where it creates a lot of snow in office lighting conditions. The camera of the iPad and iPhone is much better... in the end, I don't think it's worth the money!
