Is it possible for it to cost 131 euros in 2020 (the quality for a 2017 model in relation to the price) and now 303? Not to mention that just three days ago, when I was looking for it on 28/11/2022, it cost 215.90. The picture is good, but the base doesn't fit, so it's a problem. You can't support it on the wall or any other base, and it's quite big for close viewing. The conclusions are up to you
Very good screen for the intended use based on its features and price! IMPORTANT NOTE: THE SCREEN IS 75HZ and not 60 as stated in the specifications! My opinion after almost a year of use is that it is an excellent and very beautiful monitor for any office! It easily stands as a second screen, but if it is not used for gaming, etc., it is also great as a primary one! Excellent colors, wonderful IPS panel, and truly sturdy construction! I have no complaints about what it offers! I managed to get it for 119 euros on sale! If you find it for less than 130-140, it is a purchase with closed eyes in my opinion!
For the 27" model. I also have a 21.5" where the resolution appears better due to its size. I notice a slight blurriness compared to a QHD monitor, probably because 27" is too much for 1080p. I would recommend, based on this experience, a 1080p monitor up to 24". However, the screen is very good and the blurriness I mentioned could be considered an exaggeration. It was purchased from a well-known electronics chain, excluding Skroutz, 4 months ago. It hasn't had any issues and has a good viewing angle in terms of colors.
I changed it to 1 star because those squares I mentioned above are because the screen is not of good quality. I saw another screen from a different brand that was cheaper and I couldn't see them... it's a shame for Asus, I will complain to their support
The screen is generally good in all aspects. However, it is important to note that it does not have the ability to be mounted with the vesa standard because it lacks the necessary support on the back. Additionally, only the round part is removable from the base, not the vertical-sloping base... so if you use a vesa adapter, it may bother you at the office because it cannot be lowered if needed. Overall, it is a large screen and it is reasonable to want it somewhat lower, so having the ability for a desk or wall mount is important
I have it for a week, I bought it for 131€. The reason for acquiring it was that I wanted something comfortable for my eyes, which is true. The only problem that could lead me to send it back is the HDMI connection. The slightest movement, even the tiniest, causes a loss of connection, so you have to move the cable from the back to restore the image. I have tried 3 HDMI cables, 2 of them quite high-quality with gold-plated connectors, but the same result. Meanwhile, this only happens when it is turned off and you turn it on. When it is functioning, it does not have this problem.
Update: Eventually, after 2 shipments, the screen was replaced with the same new one, and since then, no problem (2 months).
Final Update: The same problem occurred with the NEW screen. On 14.12.21, I took it to the service, the technician confirmed the problem, and they issued me a credit. It's a shame because otherwise, it was a very good screen.
I have it for 1 year for programming, gaming, and movies, and I am very satisfied, especially for the money it's worth 100%. Especially when I program, it doesn't strain my eyes as much as other screens.
Very elegant and minimalist matte screen, zero bezel and very thin. I have 2 together and they are the best. I found it on Black Friday for 100 euros and I bought the second one now. The image is very good and the viewing angles are great. The ports are fine, the typical HDMI and VGA. For anyone planning to mount it on the wall, there are no holes at the back and I think the base doesn't come off, only the round part. The menu is fine and it also has a blue filter function, but I don't use it. It also has nice presets and some have been helpful to me and I use them. The brightness is very good and it doesn't glare in a room where the sun hits it, as it doesn't reflect.
Simply perfect. I consider it exceptional given that it is 1080p on a 27" screen. If you want a more crystal clear image, then at these dimensions you should go for at least 2K in order to increase the dpi.
Truly Plug and Play screen
Positive
- Awesome viewing images
- Its menu is very user-friendly
- Sturdy construction, doesn't move for more than 3 seconds
- Very good colors
- Many different menus (game mode, reading mode, etc.)
- Even for gaming, it's great with a 5ms response time
- Even when turned off, it's still beautiful to look at
Negative
- Doesn't come with an HDMI cable, only VGA (not a big deal, but it's unacceptable to spend 130€ on a screen and not have the basics)
- Can't be mounted on the wall
Its negatives are not that significant, but it's the little things that make a difference...
Overall, I recommend it over any other screen at this price
Very good, nice image and very nice design, as it is very thin from top to waist where it widens and there are the ports, etc. The only thing I would like, but it would essentially raise the price significantly and we would be talking about a gaming monitor, is to support up to 144hz so that I could play with more than 60 true fps. Otherwise, for its price, it's perfect, with Asus signature.
Good screen but after 3-4 months the menu buttons got stuck and constantly display notifications. I couldn't find the receipt for warranty and so it became useless
I am very satisfied with its quality and value for money. Even though I have bought two due to work, I can say that it is excellent.
Update:
After using this screen for quite some time, it has not caused me any problems, even when I transport it for trips. Perhaps the only negative thing was that I hadn't noticed it earlier because I moved and had to change offices. I wanted to mount the screens on a stand, but I noticed that it doesn't have holes to be mounted.
As an IPS panel, it carries the flaws of the technology, but when you sit in front of it, you have no problem. The colors and the level of black come with a little tweaking in the settings. It has an awesome design, one of the most beautiful on the market. Overall, it is a very balanced screen that can fit well on a modern desk, without compromising on a game setup. At the price of 180€, it is a worthy and honest purchase
Bought one week ago. Solid construction, good image. In Battlefield1 game, definitely better image than what I had before. Videos play in very good quality and in office programs it's effortless. I will test it and then write my impressions and observations. Afterwards, after 3 months, I notice that the back part is frozen, which means nothing is overheating. No problem with the image. After 7 months, everything is fine. If you only play games, get a more expensive one. After 1 year and 3 months, it works well. After 20 months, it works perfectly fine.
A very good choice for office work. You can work comfortably with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Very nice colors with an IPS panel. The best thing about it is its slim design. And you can play games easily, but if you are a demanding gamer, look for a gaming monitor.
At 129 euros, it is one of the very good options for a 24" monitor.
First of all, out of the box it has a slightly washed-out black color, which can be easily fixed with a little adjustment. Now, the menu is user-friendly, but the buttons on the screen are confusing. After 10 minutes, however, you get used to it and it works smoothly. I have had the screen for two weeks and I noticed the pixel grid from the first few days. Not something annoying at least for me. Finally, I want to add that it has very thin bezels, but the viewing angles lose some color from the sides, while the top and bottom are pitch black (literally) ;) but you can easily overlook it by tilting it 180 degrees (at least I did, since I bought it on sale).
P.S. It is very comfortable even after 5 hours of use, you don't feel anything
The screen is a must-have! It is very easy to install and assemble. The connection is made easily with HDMI and is immediately recognized by the PC. Realistic clear colors and very wide viewing angles. It is eye-friendly and performs very well in gaming. Although it is 23 inches, it does not take up much space due to its small bezels. Highly recommended for €100, not for much more.
