I bought it without reading reviews and without having worn birkenstock before. I am thrilled and I can't part with them. Later, I also bought the classic birkenstock which are clearly much heavier and harder. If I had to choose, I would choose the plastic ones, without hesitation.

Wearing the classic leather Birkenstock sandals every summer, I believe they have the most comfortable sole I have tried so far! I definitely did not think the same would apply to this specific material, but I was convinced it would lose 20%. I was wrong! These ones are indeed very lightweight BUT they have nothing to do with the others! Your foot sweats and if you wear them for many hours, your sole hurts! Wrong choice. I honestly wonder about the positive reviews!

Very comfortable and pleasant sandal but not for high temperatures. In extreme heat, the sole sweats so much that it is impossible to walk. You want to take them off and walk barefoot.

Excellent, super lightweight sandal for more casual use (e.g. for the city or instead of flip flops at the beach), it is much softer than the regular Birkenstock with the cork - one could say it's like a canvas athletic shoe... It is very convenient for the beach because you can get it wet (unlike the cork which shouldn't get wet and the sandals with fabric straps that will be wet afterwards). Also quite important: it doesn't look cheap, you can even wear it for a drink in the evening! I have already worn it for 2 summers and I believe that for the 30€ I bought it, it's worth it!
