Weber Cast Iron Plate for Q 3000

Cast iron plate with two grease drainage holes. Combine it with the WEBER grill from the Q3000 series. It can also be combined with the older model Q300. Ideal for quick grilling, for small pieces of meat and vegetables. Perfectly cook your breakfast, such as bacon and eggs, on this cast iron plate. It has a lip around it to prevent the spread of grease.

Cleaning & maintenance process for cast iron plates:

After cooking, let your cast iron cookware cool completely before rinsing it with warm water. Do not use dish soap or detergent to clean it as it will damage the patina on its surface. Clean it with a special cleaning brush and let it dry. Even the toughest stains will come off with the use of the cleaning brush. Dry your cookware immediately after cleaning it (you can put it on very low heat for 5-10 minutes to remove all moisture).

Apply a thin film of vegetable oil (such as sunflower oil, canola oil) on all surfaces of the cookware (inside-out). Spread the vegetable oil with a towel and put enough so that your cookware does not shine. If your cookware shines, it means you have put more vegetable oil than necessary. We recommend not putting more vegetable oil as your cookware will then "stick" to your hands. Vegetable oil protects the cast iron from rust and prepares the surface of the cookware for the next cooking. Do not store a wet cast iron cookware without applying vegetable oil to it, as it will rust.
