In the Melancholie color that I got, the performance is not at all like ink... Yes, you put it on and forget that you're wearing it, but it doesn't stay in place and, of course, it leaves color on the straw/glass and so on. Very good color payoff, but it's more like an intense lip tint rather than a matte lipstick.
