I believe it did the job. But for its price and what it promises, you don't lose anything if you give it a try.
The car had a P0420 code, a problem with the catalytic converter. After careful effort and following all the instructions, it did not emit any smoke, and the problem reappeared after resetting the fault in the engine control unit. The P0420 code appeared again on a trip that was made after cleaning
It doesn't seem to have solved the problem. The malfunction of the engine may possibly be due to another cause
It comes with the tube/needle and the necessary hook. In the cars I have installed it so far, it is sufficient at the height of the hood. The tube does not matter what route it takes because the engine "sucks", it just needs to be placed away from moving parts and exhaust. Just know that you need to put something on the throttle or gas pedal to keep it at 1200-1500 RPM for about an hour, maybe even longer. Do not do it on the road, you will have a problem with the neighborhood. Take the car and go somewhere remote. Under no circumstances in a closed space, e.g. garage!
In conclusion, the first one I installed and convinced me was on a BMW E90 which showed a problem with the brain in the lambda and catalyst. The emission valve had failed without the owner realizing it for a while, and the catalyst got clogged from the oil it sucked into the intake. One bottle and the damages disappeared and did not reappear, while the car's consumption according to the board computer dropped significantly, 3.5lt/100km (all city driving). Even the difference was noticeable from the sound of the exhaust.
After that, I installed it in three other cars I have, even though they didn't have any issues. They all have high mileage (150,000-350,000) and it made a significant difference in performance and consumption in all of them.
The photos are taken with an endoscopic camera in the intake of the last car I installed it in, a BMW M54 engine with 260,000km. It is the exact same valve. I think this is enough. If your car shows a lambda or catalyst fault, get it. If you have high mileage, get it. It really does a serious job.
For its price, it's quite good. It comes with the needle and its tubes, all complete. It was used on a VW Passat 1.8 apt NA 125hp after 6 months of short trips. The car was clogged and not running properly, but with this, I believe the catalyst and lambda sensor were cleaned and it runs better now. First, I warmed up the car well to reach operating temperature for the catalyst, then I left it on for about an hour. After that, I drove it in first and second gear to clean it thoroughly for a while, and it was okay. The height of the hood is not enough, it needs to be slightly higher with a rod or a pin to hold it up higher. Essentially, it's like giving the car a good unclogging during a trip, and obviously, don't expect miracles. I had also tried one from Liqui Moly that you spray, and I think it's more user-friendly than the Mannol one, with equally good results.
