In human history there are events that have left such a strong mark on their time, creating memories that generations remember with horror. In medieval and more recent European history, horrifying visions trace the bloody, gruesome path of perhaps the main protagonist of the social and economic degradation of European populations: the "Black Death" of the infamous plague.
On a blood-red background stained by the blood of its millions of victims, at the top of a tall hill made of the millions of bones of the dead, the Black Death cackles. It cackles at the ignorance, superstition, and horror of human weaknesses, moral and physical debauchery. It cackles and beckons irresistibly to its victims, who, through an inexhaustible multitude of terrible pains, foul odors, and bodily decay, are led willingly or unwillingly towards their leader.
