Thousands of fans consider him an artist. Golden-handed. A wanderer of the skies. Collector of titles and precious metals.
The skeptics dubbed him "Showboat", meaning show-off. Some of them, like Shaquille O'Neal, shared a locker room with him.
Others see in his face a basketball player who cares more about himself than the team.
Kobe Bryant's answer lies in his trophy case. Five championships. One MVP award. Eighteen All-Star Games. Two gold Olympic medals.
Countless scoring records. Deafening moments that can fill entire collections with highlights. And a life like a fairy tale, not always pleasant, not always suitable for young children.
Sometimes the sun sets on the planet of Kobe Bryant. His resume has not only miracles, but also injuries.
His throne is a one-seater and does not accommodate others. A kid on the streets of Philadelphia, a teenager in Italy, a man in the bright lights of the NBA, a husband and father now that the spotlights have dimmed, Kobe Bryant was and remains a category of his own.

First of all, I was surprised when they gave it to me as a gift because I had Kobe as a god and idol, and I was incredibly saddened by the mandate of his death... I agree that the book is mediocre. The first 150 pages are spent analyzing his father's career and the family environment of the family, which personally did not interest me nor did it connect as an introduction to the rest. Additionally, I believe that there should have been a more in-depth analysis of both Kobe's high school career and the years of the three-peat and the intermediate period of 2003-2008 in the "stone years". In general, it is a superficial portrayal of the athlete's life without mentioning many incidents that we did not know, as well as the almost absence of descriptions or comments from Kobe himself... I expected it to be better, and the translation is mediocre! P.S. The documentary about his return from the Achilles tendon rupture is light years better than this book, unfortunately!
As someone who is very involved in basketball and having Kobe Bryant as my childhood idol, I consider the book mediocre... Out of the 500 pages, the first 150-200 pages are about his father's career and Kobe's childhood. The next 150-200 pages are about the threepeat years with Shaq and Kobe's court case, and only the remaining 100-150 pages mention his career from 2006-2016, which are very few and do not reflect Kobe's achievements during those years... Overall, in a few words, the book emphasizes more on Bryant's negatives and the mistakes he made in his career rather than how good of a player he was and what he accomplished... Also, one last thing, I believe that the Greek translation could be better in many aspects!
R.I.P Kobe, the book is perfect, I have no words
