The Woman Magician-Doctor is the autobiographical narrative of a woman's search for her identity in the world of Native Americans. It begins as an investigation into an Indian "wedding basket" in the deserts of Manitoba, only to end up after terrible adventures and inexplicable events in a spiritual journey.
