In the Information Society era, the protection of individuals from the processing of personal data has been recorded as one of the innovative developments of the law, which horizontally affects all branches of law. This monograph, with the current General Data Protection Regulation, attempts a new approach to the position of the employee, both as a service provider and as a subject of personal data, and a contribution to the shaping legal framework in employer-employee relationships, in which the traditional conflict of interests between workers and employers acquires additional content based on the exploitation of information. The regulations for the protection of employees' personal data, along with the spread of flexible employment relationships in the platform economy, and the expansion of prohibited discrimination, contribute to what is already being addressed as new labor law.
