In this project, a systematic article-by-article interpretation of the Second Book of the Code of Civil Procedure (ordinary procedure in primary courts, articles 208-320 CCP) is attempted. A large volume of case law from the last 20 years, from the year 2000 to May 2019, is exhaustively analyzed. In each interpreted provision, the prevailing and non-prevailing opinions in case law are crystallized with their arguments, without omitting references to individual decisions that present a separate legal interest. The proposed solution for each procedural issue goes through the necessary criticism of case law positions with the help of procedural theory, which sometimes aligns and sometimes disagrees with case law opinions. Moreover, the provisions of articles 208-320 CCP have undergone the most radical modifications by Law 4335/2015. Since the implementation of the aforementioned law (1.1.2016) until today, many interesting judicial decisions have been issued, which are analyzed in depth in the work regarding the interpretive issues raised by the recent law. The work is addressed to legal practitioners, as well as legal theorists, aiming to provide them with a comprehensive and reliable guide.
