I have it for years and its construction is metallic. For frappé it is very strong even at the first level. It makes the mixture very thick. It is very noisy. Due to the very strong rotation, I always use the metal container. In order to touch the bottom, I put the rotary switch in position 1, I put a spoon on the sensor to work and I hold the container upright. Otherwise, if you pass the container through the sensor, it does not touch the bottom and the frappé does not mix.
Quite good but absolutely no comparison to the previous one. Very fake, just a plastic toy, and lightweight, resulting in it shaking with the slightest movement, while the previous one, which was metallic, was heavier. Also, the new one's mixer is plastic instead of the metallic one of the previous one. Although it works perfectly, I am disappointed with the quality.
A very good machine although expensive for its category; it's worth its money... as for its switch, it works perfectly for me with one hand and smoothly (possible that the switch issue was a batch problem), it has a lot of power and its construction is quite sturdy, quite satisfied with its choice and quite well-designed!
From the few that have a thick neck and a powerful motor.. but the switch is difficult to use, you need both hands to turn it.
If you want frappe, forget about this machine. You can only use it with its own cup, as it activates the motor by entering the slot which is the button - there is no other way. The motor is very powerful - probably good for sauces, drinks, etc. For frappe, look for something else. I should note the metallic taste that the mixture gets whenever I tried to make frappe, which ultimately completely ruins the familiar taste you expect. Do they know about frappe in Japan?
If you want it to make your morning frappe, forget it, with such a powerful motor you'll be racing in Moto GP. Too strong for simple coffee use, unless you don't mind cleaning up spilled coffee all over the place after each use
The best frappe maker I've ever had. Very sturdy construction, amazing design (doesn't look like any other on the market), beautiful, closest thing to professional machines. Powerful motor with 2 speeds. Makes very nice frothy milk and very quickly. On the top axis, it takes a second head, which changes screw and rotates counterclockwise, so it is impossible to unscrew or break due to the thickness of the axis and head. One head is for frothy milk and coffee, and the other is for smoothies and drinks. And it is stored in the base! Owner for 1 year, it doesn't heat up, doesn't smell, makes enough noise, doesn't break, doesn't malfunction! It doesn't vibrate and doesn't "walk" on the counter. Yes, there is a problem with the use of the rotary switch, which, with the use of 2 coffees per day, in 6 months it completely wore out and works flawlessly with the small finger! Value for money. 1 year later, no problem, the rotary switch has completely loosened and works perfectly, as for those who are lazy to clean the huge stainless steel cup every time, you simply put a smaller glass inside and rinse it immediately every time. That way, you can make a perfect frappe on the low setting!
Personally, the frappe maker worked excellently for me. At first, I struggled a couple of times with the stirring button, but I learned how to use it and I am satisfied. The design is nice, but at least the button should be replaced in the future.
It is epic unacceptable, the power switch is the worst, it is not convenient at all, it is very difficult to open, especially if you are holding the cup in your hand, it is very difficult to rotate with one hand, for opening and closing.
Do not confuse it with the old metal one from Kenwood that cost twice as much! It is made of plastic (very poor plastic quality) and DOES NOT HAVE a switch to start automatically as soon as you place the container. You have to manually start it from the top after you put the container.
It is a bad Chinese product with a Kenwood sticker. Very POOR quality.
Quite powerful, I made very nice froth milk and very quickly.

Stay away from this specific coffee maker. I recently bought it and it is the worst purchase of my life. Not convenient to use at all because in order to use it without dirtying the kitchen, one must have three hands. Not convenient to use because there is no button. I bought it recently and in less than 5 days, the switch broke and the motor smells burnt. Not to mention that it no longer works on two levels, but only on one no matter where you put it.
The switch is the worst thing I have encountered, completely uncomfortable.

Excellent!!! So, this frappe maker is a level above the cheaper ones. There are recipes for smoothies, milkshakes, coffees, etc. in the instructions. On the top axis, it has a double mixer that can be changed. One mixer is for frothy milk and coffee, while another is for smoothies and drinks. There is a huge difference in the blending, which feels professional. The cheaper ones I had didn't have such a texture. It has a slightly larger volume than the average one. Perfect red color, durable metal shaker. Its motor is more powerful than usual to be able to make frothy milk, smoothies, etc. Two speeds, we mostly use the first one and rarely the second one. I consider it worth the money, very satisfied.
So, to clarify what's going on with this frappe maker.
1. It is plastic because at some point there was an expensive one from Kenwood that was all metal and had a more sturdy construction.
2. The little rabbit is a plastic of medium quality. There is a spare part at the bottom. Probably to gold plate the pill.
3. Due to the plastic construction, the motor creaks, it synchronizes at the second speed, and you can hear an unpleasant creaking.
4. Let's talk about the switch, which is not convenient but not completely uncomfortable either. Of course, I don't know if it will last over time. I hope it does.
Of course, one positive thing is its motor, which is 120 watts, one of the most powerful you can find for household use. And that it has a thick axis. Now, as for making milkshakes, I don't know if it will succeed.
From afar, it looks beautiful in the kitchen.

One of the best frappe makers I've ever had. Very sturdy construction, amazing design (doesn't look like any other on the market), a jewel on my kitchen counter. It's as close as you can get to professional machines (I say this because I have 5 years of experience working in cafes). The price is a bit steep, but here the saying "you get what you pay for" applies.
As construction is all made of ABS plastic and of poor quality, it is probably not a coincidence that there is no high-resolution photo anywhere. The only metal parts on it are the motor inside and the stirrer axis.
The button would be practical if it wasn't so poorly made. It is difficult to press to start and the worst part is that it is even more difficult to stop. Essentially, the button is rotary, meaning you don't press it down but turn it to the left to start. Because it is of such poor quality, it tends to "stick" and have resistance. Additionally, the whole construction is very lightweight and lacks sufficient rubber feet or suction cups to keep it stable. So, you have to hold the coffee cup with one hand, try to turn the button with the other, and with a third hand, try to keep the blender upright to do your job!
The problem is worsened by the design of the bottom part of the blender where the cup goes in and out. It looks nice, but because it has curves, it is not easy to fit a large cup without lifting the motor upwards (fortunately, it has this capability), so it's a bit annoying.
If the curve of the base was a bit thinner at that point or if the blender was a few centimeters taller, this issue would not exist.
The only positive thing I found is the power of the motor. Even at the first speed, it is very strong and can handle any type of frappe you want to make.
The second speed, if someone has the willingness and patience to struggle with the button to reach it, is perfect for froth, etc.
For the 36€ it cost, it is not worth the money at all. In terms of construction quality, it is on the level of a 15€-20€ product, where you can find similar motors but buttons that don't drive you crazy.
The only good thing about it is to look at it, as it is at least beautiful. But even this you have to do from a relative distance so that you can't distinguish its construction quality and remember that you wasted 36€ for no reason.
Update after 5 months of use:
The problematic button has improved a bit with use and rotates a little more easily without sticking so much. That's why the rating went from 1 to 2 stars.
However, reaching the second speed is still a problem, as the path that the button turns is quite long and the motor is strong enough that it is not convenient to handle it quickly and comfortably without filling the world with foam.
But it's a minor problem, as the first speed is strong enough for 99% of the usage that is done, and since the button has improved, everything is fine!

The motor, although it was 120W as the previous frother I had, seemed much more powerful. Also, the shaft is thicker than the previous device and overall gives you the feeling of quality construction. I use it for Freddo Espresso & Freddo Cappuccino (5-6 times/week). For coffee, the first speed is sufficient. The second one is very strong and there is a risk of not actually drinking coffee :) However, it is ideal for frothing milk.
I regret trying this button on top, it is incredibly inconvenient.
The 1200 watts are too much, you can never set it to level 2 because it will spill your coffee outside.
