Description

When one follows with interest the activities of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for education, science and intellectual culture, one can only appreciate its humanitarian messages, its pro-educational positions and the corresponding practical work of its executives and collaborators. In its activities, it can seek traces of gold to invest in its spiritual infrastructure, which will have been solidified within it by Greek humanism and the Christian teaching of universal love.

One of these activities is the organization, in June 1978, in Paris, of roundtable discussions on the topic: "What world are we bequeathing to our children?"

These discussions were attended by Nobel laureates, academics and university professors, presidents and members of international organizations, politicians and philosophers, lawyers and sociologists, doctors and economists, educators and psychologists, physicists and physiologists, mathematicians and theologians, writers and artists. They came to Paris from all over the world, from Great Britain and India, Ireland and China, Spain and America, Switzerland and Costa Rica, the Soviet Union and Nigeria, Yugoslavia and the Philippines, Senegal and Japan, Egypt and Venezuela, Bulgaria and Mexico, France and Malaysia.
