My name is Galileo Galilei and about 500 years ago I was an astronomer, mathematician, physicist, and philosopher.
Some call me the Father of Modern Science because my work contributed to the evolution of scientific thinking.
With my telescope, I observed the universe, studied it, and, using mathematical calculations, proved my theories.

Although they were considered heretical during the Middle Ages, I persisted... "And yet it moves!" referring to the rotation of the Earth around the Sun.
