The product doesn't work. Maybe this specific part is to blame. I have tried several discs, without success.

Chinese ones are bad.. It frequently disconnects and now it doesn't work anymore. I had bought 2 of the same and both of them broke.
Buy something better.

I bought it years ago for 2-3€, I still have it thrown in a drawer but it's for the trash. The fact that it's made of aluminum (true) doesn't make it good. There are other parts that matter. The plastics are terrible and the controller is of very poor quality. It may be cheap, but in my opinion, it's not worth it.

The case is made of aluminum in its large part with a plastic input for the hard drive to enter.

The problem is that in order to be placed, the plastic part needs to be screwed with 2 screws of terrible quality. One was screwed in. The second one broke and the hard drive practically "plays" inside the case.

In my opinion... don't even take it for free. These are facts, not potatoes.
I struggled a lot to remove the hard drive because the screw threads broke, and I simply sent it to the trash.

I bought this product so that I can connect hard drives from laptops to my PC. It does its job just fine. The only complaints I have are that the user instructions in English seem to be an automatic translation and have errors, and that the screws of the case screw in strangely, the alignment of the case is not very good.
