I have had them for almost 6 months without any problems. Whether through the application (eWeLink), voice control with Google Nest Hub, or simply as a touch switch, everything works fine. But let's start from the beginning.
First of all, in order for the switch to work, a neutral wire is needed (easy if there is a socket near the switch). To mount it on the wall, a box with "ears" is needed. If the old box does not have "ears," you can put small pieces of wood on the right and left sides, sticking them on the existing box, and then screw the switch onto them (photo). I'm just suggesting this as an idea.
Now let's move on to the settings part. Because I don't trust the built-in routers at all when it comes to their Wi-Fi and coverage, I preferred to disable their Wi-Fi and get a Ubiquity access point to have peace of mind (optional, of course). The switches do not support 5GHz network, so make sure that the 2.4GHz is enabled for it to find a network. For some reason, the eWeLink application could not directly find any of the 8 switches I installed, so I paired them with Wi-Fi by putting them in compatibility mode.
To enter compatibility mode, a button needs to be pressed for 5 seconds, and once the LED blinks 2 times quickly and 1 time for a longer period, then press the same button again for another 5 seconds. All of this is done while the eWeLink is in scanning mode for switches. The truth is, it took me about 10 minutes to set up the first switch, but after that, it only takes half a minute to set up each switch.
I have never experienced any random disconnections in the 6+ months that I have had them. When the power was cut off a couple of times, they automatically reconnected without any issues.
Almost a year owner of this product and I have to say, in the next reviews only such switches. No interruption in wifi and if ever happens due to power outage or reset, it reconnects automatically on its own.
I have several of these. Very easy to use and so far none of them have broken. It connects with ewelink and through that with Google Home.
For support, you can take the little ears from the old switch and carefully do the job!!
These ears do not exist. The support requires a box with screw slots up and down or support with long screws and voila.
Ease of connection to the router.
The touch screen is correct, the blue indicator light is quite visible.
A neutral is required for its operation
Five stars for the ease of connection with the router/extender, and its practicality.
Functionally (via eWeLink) it is flawless, with everything one needs in terms of creating scenes on each channel (switch) separately.
The touch screen is accurate, and the blue indicator light is quite visible.
As everyone mentions, it requires a neutral wire for its operation. If this capability is not available, it will not serve you for replacing a simple switch.
Update 09/05/2023 - Seamless operation, good wifi reception, rare to nonexistent disconnections, and immediate recovery after power outages. Also, it works well with the Sonoff RM433 remote. A reliable product.
Very good choice for a triple switch if you have small loads such as LED lamps.
However, pay attention to 2 things:
1. Like the rest of the Sonoff switches, it requires a neutral wire to work.
2. The installation requires a box with screw holes on top and bottom or installation with long screws and anchors. These brackets are not included
I have had it for a year now and it has not caused any issues!!
