Indeed, because the Ugreen adapter has an external power supply, it supports not only HDD hard drives but also SATA CD/DVD drives. Everything works perfectly, it immediately recognized some SATA HDDs that I had, the drive read my old CDs and DVDs, the packaging and the device itself are extremely well-designed, and the use of the device is very easy, plug 'n' play.
I should note that the external power supply is only needed when connecting an HDD or a CD/DVD drive. If you are going to connect an SSD drive, additional power is not necessary.
The speed was satisfactory, I connected an SSD drive to the adapter and copied 50GB to another internal SSD, and the speed reached 240 MB/sec.

Because it sometimes got stuck and didn't recognize the disk I inserted, I consider the correct connection order to be as follows:
1) First, I connect only the adapter to the USB port. I wait to see if it is recognized by Windows and assigned a drive letter.
