It makes a lot of noise - buzzing, even on the first setting, without producing any airflow. Too much noise for nothing, you definitely can't sleep with this fan.
Note that it is advertised as "very low noise level".
In terms of quality, typical plastic Chinese.
I returned it.
I bought it yesterday. I have it in operation and I will return if anything changes for the worse...(I hope not...)
Advantages:
It has 5 blades for 30% better air distribution.
Indeed, as soon as I put it into operation, both myself and a member of my family felt the airflow at all 3 intensity speeds.
With the setting on the 2nd speed, it brings a satisfactory airflow up to 3 meters away, and on the 3rd speed, the airflow can be felt at 3.50 meters. (I used a measuring tape to present my opinion with evidence). The worst fan for me, has been found and it's not called Primo but Best (which it definitely wasn't, as no matter how much it worked...it didn't produce any airflow. In the end, the motor stopped one day and it was quiet...)
Large tabletop base that promises good support and balance, so that the fan does not suffer any falls that would be decisive both for your safety and for its subsequent short lifespan and necessary disposal.
Despite the fact that the fan fell from a height of 50 centimeters, the front grille/mesh that protects the blades is so hard and rigid that in a different case with lower quality models it would have dented. Unfortunately, the ring that connects the two grilles is really a torture in this particular model (for me personally).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disadvantages: The noise is not that low, but let's be realistic. It won't deafen you either. All motors make noise. For this specific fan, I would say it has moderate noise, which can allow you to sleep (I have 2 fans: 50W [the one mentioned] & 75W with 6 blades that have the same level of noise and I sleep without any disturbance).
If I could describe it, it sounds like a loud buzzing from bees.
A second disadvantage is that: When I assembled it, it has a different fastening compared to older fans. You will need patience and maybe some help to connect the two grilles to the unified safety ring that also includes the classic screw with its washer.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The company offers a 5-year warranty of good operation on the box, the user manual states a 12-month warranty, and on the warranty card it again says 5 years. I got a little confused, but I believe that the 5 years apply (provided, of course, that you have respected the device and have not mishandled it).
I hope I helped you enough.
A note for the end, which contains retro information. The older ones will remember the Raks fans. They had 4 blades, 3 speed levels, and produced satisfactory airflow from the 1st speed with an air distribution of 1.1 cubic meters per second. They had a diameter of 16 inches (40 centimeters, like the Primo) and 1200 revolutions per minute.
I'm not advertising, but if you want a comparison measure compared to 2021, I just gave it to you. It's not just me saying it, but I have also seen opinions from abroad that characterized them as fine fans.
I believe due to the design and weight of the fan, it is incredibly lightweight, only produces minimal noise and air. However, it is aesthetically pleasing in design even when not in use. I have three other fans in my house, this one will be used as a decoration.
