The Nike Air Huarache was released in 1991. Shoe designer Tinker Hatfield wanted to combine the fit of neoprene water-skiing shoes with the functionality of South American sandals. The shoe, which became an instant hit, soon made its appearance on basketball courts and then on the streets, where it established itself as an iconic model.

It is a quite narrow shoe and since it is worn like a sock, I definitely recommend getting it 1-1.5 sizes larger. Try it on in a store before purchasing it.
Other than that, it is an excellent shoe, comfortable and beautiful. Rare to find.
