After 2 to 3 passes, it clogs up and you have to stop to remove the hairs. I don't know what the purpose of the button that removes the hairs is, they are easier to pull out by hand. Maybe our cat sheds a lot of hair, but it doesn't work satisfactorily for us.

I struggle to remove a handful of hairs.

Did you find this review helpful?Good but VERY EXPENSIVE. Not 25-50 euros for a metal pet comb! If you buy a lice comb from a pharmacy for 0.30€, you will get almost the same amount of hair as the FURminator.
It is heavy and metallic, and for this reason, I find it a bit dangerous for the cat's fur. As you comb it, it can turn and smell the metal comb and get injured.

Unfortunately, it is so effective that my hands and my shirt get filled with a lot of fur as I comb my cats, and they need to be cleaned afterwards.
The button that removes the fur is only useful if enough fur has accumulated to fall off on its own. Otherwise, if you try to remove the few hairs it has collected, you will notice that they remain on the head, requiring the use of both hands.
The hard metal head with the hard bristles gives the impression that it will scratch the cat's skin, but if you gently try it on your own skin, you will see that there is no such issue. Just make sure not to apply pressure.
Both of my cats, with whom we already have a "cleaning" routine, did not seem to have any problems with the new brush.
Finally, I confirm that the photos uploaded by other users are accurate, especially during the first time, where I removed a large ball of fur the size of my palm from each cat.

I can say from the moment it arrived and I held it in my hands, I realized that it is a quality construction.
-Very good stainless steel blade that does the job from the first touch.
-Heavy feel but at the same time light in the hand.
-The button it has is a nice touch to help you remove the hairs (not that you can't easily do it by hand, but it gives you the option).
The only small negative thing I can say is that it doesn't hold a huge amount of hair, so you need multiple repetitions, but the job it does is amazing so it doesn't bother me.

With 2 cats in an apartment, it was a mess on Saturdays with hair everywhere.
Noticeable difference after just a few brush strokes.As others have mentioned, the mechanism for cleaning the brush is not particularly effective, but that's a minor issue.
Seems to be more liked by the cats compared to previous brushes (regular brush & rubber glove) as they sit still for me to brush them 5-6 times before they start meowing, whereas before I had to do a ritual.
