In the extensive introduction of the book, and in the question of what history is as a scientific object, the conscious or unconscious distortions that arise either from incorrect readings and interpretations or - much worse and worse - from conscious ideological-political biases and political expediencies, are revealed, to serve various purposes and goals.
In this sense, 1821 continues to remain the great unknown until today. It is therefore the primary duty of all of us to carefully study the Memoirs of all the fighters of '21, but also the preserved Documents of that period, in order to be able to reach correct and objective assessments and conclusions. Historians are well aware of the paths that lead to the discovery of historical truth.
