We have been using such PMRs in the workplace for many years. In a 2,500 sqm warehouse, range is not an issue, even with low power.
The sound is good, loud, and the voice is clear. The ergonomics are also good, with the clip being very convenient for attaching and detaching from the belt, and the fingers easily finding the PTT (and the boost button for higher power transmission if needed).
The screen is large and easy to read, and the settings can be adjusted in seconds. The "call" function is also useful, which can be done either with sound or vibration of the device.
There is a problem of "squelch delay" in some of the 18 devices we use, resulting in the loss of the first few words of a conversation (especially when subtones - CTSS - are activated). Also, when sprayed with disinfectant, the plastic transparent cover of the screen becomes blurry.
Regarding range, expect similar performance to almost all portable transceivers. In use in an open environment, range depends on natural obstacles, but in general, you will not encounter problems within a large building, in conversations like rooftop-basement or in conversations within a few construction squares. In use on the road (e.g. between two traveling vehicles), the range is expectedly small. If the vehicles have line of sight, you will be able to hear and be heard. If there are natural obstacles (hills, slopes, etc.) or a large distance between vehicles, you will likely have an issue. This is typical behavior for transceivers with built-in, rather than external (vehicle-mounted), antennas.
They come with battery packs that easily last for 9-10 hours with frequent and relatively long transmissions. Of course, you can replace the batteries with others of higher capacity.
Good and reliable devices, but probably expensive for what they do. A good IPX rating and/or a good shockproof case/cover for protection against falls might better justify their price.

Tested over the years in countless airsoft missions and games in forests and mountains. We're talking about quality and a tool that never betrays you. It simply worths every penny until the last euro. Good range, battery durability (can be changed with alkaline batteries at any time), tested with throat microphones and hands-free. The g7 is the only way for me, enjoying the top spot all by itself!

    - Definitely the best in its category, a bit expensive but worth it and more.
    - It is free to use. No radio amateur license is required for ownership and use.
    - Tested in the mountains, in the countryside, and in the city, it has excellent sound quality in transmission and reception. (Similarly, other brands that claim to have 5 and 8 watts do not have the same performance as the G7 pro, which is 0.5 watts, plus it can be unlocked and set to 3 watts).
    - They easily last 10-12 hours with one charge, maybe even more, but I haven't pushed it to its limits. (They could have included a second battery kit at this price, but for multi-day trips, the problem is solved with batteries from the kiosk or rechargeable ones).
    - Official and impeccable service in Greece. (When I first got them, they didn't have the LPD channels, so I went to the authorized service store, and in 10 minutes they had them ready and I got them back).
    - With one email to MIDLAND, the next day they sent me a detailed user manual in Greek. I highly recommend it!
