I can't think of any reason to use a neck strap when there is something like this. It is certainly less discreet and may be a bit bothersome if you want to touch it on small surfaces, but it can be easily removed and added in general. However, with years of using this screw connection method on the camera, I don't know if there is a concern about loosening the screw socket, which may make it easier to come off or make the camera unstable on a tripod.
I have used it with the Nikon D780, which is not exactly lightweight, and with small lightweight lenses where you don't even feel the weight and have enough flexibility in movement, and with a heavy big 70-200 full frame lens, which, although I wouldn't say the weight alone tires you, at least if you don't have it for a very long time, you usually have to hold the camera with one hand because when the lens protrudes so much, it's easy to hit it somewhere.
Something that I find a bit annoying is the secondary clip it has (I assume for extra security??) which I don't find convenient at all, I find it somewhat tight when I attach it and I have never felt the need for any extra security anyway, so I just have it hanging.
I recommend it.
Very convenient, serves its purpose perfectly... good price and the essential, the weight goes on the shoulder and not on the neck... logically, if you have two bodies, it will be convenient to get the double
Very nice strap with shoulder padding. Very easy installation and it also has a screw under the base that holds the clip for screwing mounts so you don't have to constantly remove it if you want to put it on a tripod for example. It is used with the Canon 260d which is relatively lightweight with the kit lens, but both the base and the clip are metallic so I don't think it will have any issues even with heavier setups
