It seems quality! It is heavy but reasonable to be stable. It is very powerful but also noisy. The remote control is useful. I would like it to have one lower setting. It is worth the money!
Stable construction and very good airflow. It cools the space very quickly even at the first speed. Its advantages include the wide range between speeds, the timer, the remote control, the electronic buttons (even the left-right rotation) and its price. The downside is unfortunately the very loud noise. At the 1st speed it is normal, the 2nd gets used to, but at the 3rd you can't sit comfortably close to it (however, the 3rd blows so strongly that I use it very rarely anyway). Finally, the sleep and natural modes seem to operate in exactly the same way, which is to start and stop every few seconds. The time between restarts may change, but I'm not entirely sure. This function is sometimes proven useful, but the sleep mode could have a quieter speed for sleeping. Also, the stop-start definitely puts a strain on the motor and slightly increases consumption. Anyway, for 2 months now with at least 10 hours of use almost daily, it works just fine and I am very satisfied with the purchase.
I compare it to the corresponding Morris MFS-16216 which costs double:
1) The Primo feels much more plastic.
2) It is less refined in its operation. The Morris has 2 blades and is much more balanced.
3) Controls have the same range and practicality.
4) Yes, the Primo makes more noise but I reiterate that the other has 2 blades on it and thus behaves differently.
5) A red light with 2 lines blinks which is a bit annoying but you can put a tape over it and that's it..(see photo)
6) They have the same programs with the nicest being the breeze that adjusts the intensity as if there is a slightly stronger breeze at times.
I have in no way regretted it because I see it this way:
I bought a less quality Morris for half the price!
I would definitely buy it again. It does everything the Morris does but for half the price. If on the other hand someone has the 80 that the Morris costs, then it is a one-way street, they will get the Mercedes of fans..
I got it for the children's room and will get another one for the other children's room.. The Morris is for the living room.
Get the Primo, it is excellent for 40 euros (5/5).. if you have the extra and want quality, get the Morris..
Very good fan, powerful from the very first speed.
The noise levels are relatively low with a simple and user-friendly remote control.
Quite easy to assemble, except of course for the "clipping" of the front protective frame of the blade, which is the most difficult part of the assembly...
It's worth the money.
Perfect, just the instructions are whatever, generally don't be scared if you don't have some part that it mentions, if you assemble it in the end, it comes out a bit with logic. Other than that, a very good fan as the others have said
I had a hard time closing the lid, but that's clearly my own issue. I didn't know how it goes in. You don't really need the instructions to put it together. I assembled it easily. It's a fan, it can't be completely silent, but the noise is not bothersome. It's powerful, but with so much humidity, obviously, you don't expect miracles.
It is quite powerful and cools quite well. It can't perform miracles, it's not an air-conditioner, but it does a very good job. The only little issue is that the instructions weren't very accurate and also after prolonged use, it smells like burnt plastic.
In the 2 years that I had it, the engine [motor] broke down and I didn't even use it for many hours a day. I regret the 60€ I spent because I believed that Primo fans are good.
The fan is sturdy, performs as expected on all settings, and the remote works well. The biggest drawback is the assembly of the fan guards. Primo's other fans have clasps around the perimeter that easily push down to hold the two pieces in place. In addition, there is normally a small screw that is then easily put into place. This setup makes it easy to disassemble for cleaning and storage purposes. This fan has a plastic ring that needs to wrap around each fan guard that does not stay in place easily while trying to screw the one screw that tightens the ring. Also, when not turned on there are two red lines that flash continuously. This has been addressed with the company since at least 2021 and their lack of interest in fixing this is disappointing.
Very good and powerful fan, easy to assemble, at level 2 its performance is very satisfactory and it also has a remote control for convenience. Great value for money purchase.
Very good fan so far. The only negative is that it is not very powerful. I have it for a small space and it serves me well. I do not know how well it would work in a larger space.
Very nice fan, powerful enough for its price, a bit overpriced purchase. The nature function is excellent and the remote control, despite being made of low-quality materials, is an excellent addition.
for the price of 45€, excellent. Powerful on the first level. We don't put it on a higher level. It's not completely silent. Expected. We like it. We will buy a second one.
After using it for a month, I consider it a fair purchase. The remote control catches normally at a reasonable distance. Durability over time remains to be seen. The only "negative" in my opinion is that the first level is too strong to the point where it can be bothersome during sleep.
Very cheap construction, easy to assemble, quite powerful, I got it for around 44 euros, 5 years ago this quality would have been at 30. If the motor lasts a year, I will give it 3 stars instead of 4, if it burns out during the summer (like I had experienced before with a fan from Leroy), I will give it 2 stars
I just received it. I chose it after a lot of searching because most fans in this price range had bad reviews, mainly due to noise. This one is almost silent on the first speed where it is quite powerful (that's mainly where I use it). On the second and third speeds, it is noisier but it doesn't bother me and the power increases significantly there.
Its remote control is very convenient, from which you can also set whether it will oscillate or not. It has 3 modes (the classic and the nature and sleep modes which are essentially the same thing: it starts and stops the fan at regular intervals so it doesn't hit you all the time and you don't have the swing feature permanently on).
Its assembly was easy and quick and it is very stable due to its sturdy base.
As for whether it will last over time, we will see; I will come back at some point for an update.
Edit: One year later and the fan is working perfectly. My only complaint is the remote control which for some reason, while it works to turn it on and for a few seconds you can adjust it, after a while it doesn't respond at all. However, the fan has not disappointed me at all. I highly recommend it!
I had the same one from a store and because I am generally satisfied, I wanted to buy the same one again. This one is even more powerful, I don't know how that's possible. Overall, I am extremely satisfied!
Very good fan for its price.
I have bought 3 of the same 60 watt.
For a 35 square meter space, it does its job properly and has enough air even on the first level, if you put it on the third level it has even stronger air.
At night, in the program it has (mode), it is quiet and brings a sweet breeze as if you were in the countryside.
The program (mode) it has, (natural, sleep, normal), only the sleep mode works at night, the other 2 are not needed during the day with a lot of heat.
Today, on 6/7/22, I received the aforementioned fan.
I am not impressed with its plastic parts, the front protective cover has a small spot where the paint has not adhered, but it is not easily noticeable, but the detail makes the difference.
The installation of the front cover with the plastic clamp is a bit troublesome, as it requires some patience to fasten it, as it fastens from one side and unfastens from the other.
The blades, apart from the usual noise they make, also make a slight squeaking sound.
I replaced them with the blades from my previous fan, and now things are much better with better airflow.
The most important thing is the durability of the motor over time.
I have had a Primo fan for many years for professional use, and it is a reliable motor, I hope this one turns out to be the same.
However, it does not justify the price of 50+ euros.
Update one day after the purchase, on 07/07/2022.
To the above negatives, I will add two more.
The remote control does not work very well and you have to hold it low to make it work, this is probably because the infrared receiver that receives commands from the remote control must be obstructed by the fan's blades.
At first, I thought there was an issue with the batteries or the remote control itself.
The other thing that bothers me is that when it is turned off, two red lines flash on the digital screen, which grabs your attention, it's a minor but annoying detail.
Update No2 23/7/2023: One year later with intense use, almost 24 hours a day throughout the summer season, I am satisfied with the motor.
It only needed some greasing like all fans.
Very good performance. I bought it in July during the heatwaves with temperatures reaching 40 degrees and I was satisfied in a very warm house. It is very quiet for its power. It seems quite durable. I didn't give it 5 stars because the remote control doesn't easily work from a distance and because the head doesn't move up and down if you want to adjust the height it hits.
At the price of 32 euros that I bought it, I think it's a good purchase although I don't have a comparison measure apart from the price. I struggled a bit with the assembly because I had never done it before. The fan has enough power and has a relative noise in its operation, I suspect because of the plastic blades. You can immediately feel the cooling even in hot weather. The quality of the materials is average, mostly plastic, but the base is very sturdy. One problem is that its low setting is not low enough, which means it is not suitable for short distances under 3 meters because it becomes annoying over time and it lifts and moves papers if there are any. Another problem (?) is that if you don't unplug it, the screen doesn't turn off completely but shows a bright standby indicator that keeps flashing. I contacted the importing company (the phone number is on the warranty paper) and they immediately connected me with a technician who told me that this is a natural function and the power consumption is 0.1W/h. Otherwise, the fan has all the functions, the vertical tilt can be manually adjusted, it rotates automatically left and right (optional), the height can be manually adjusted, it has triple function normal/sleep/natural, and a timer. So, if it is set to the desired height and vertical tilt, all the other functions can be controlled via remote control.
First impression, after the first few hours of use:
- Easy assembly
- Relatively good materials
- Many functions through remote control: 3 operating speeds, timer, choice between rotation or fixed position
- Appearance
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the black-colored fan costs +36% more than the same model in white color!!!
Very good fan with good performance, relatively good construction, sturdy base, powerful motor, the remote control works very well and has all the functions, bright indicators with very nice blue LED, it makes a little noise on levels 1 and 2, on level 3 it makes more noise, personally it doesn't bother me. Overall, I can't find anything negative. One exception that happened to me, the screw that attaches the base to the body was not properly tightened, causing it not to tighten well and shake, I came up with a workaround so I don't have to keep taking it back in the heat since it's a heatwave period, maybe it happened to me, just keep it in mind. Also, the five-year warranty is very positive.
It looks like a good fan. However, it has a lot of plastic parts, such as the blades and the screws. The base is stable. It is powerful, especially on the third speed. We will see how long it will last.
