The first edition of Constitutional Law Lessons was released in 1991, thirty years ago. It was the product of my teaching experience at the Law School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which lasted for about ten years until then. I was young and enthusiastic. Two years after the release of the first edition, in 1993, I was elected as a member of parliament and appointed as a minister. This marked the beginning of a long period of suspension of my teaching duties. Fortunately, my scientific interests and my research relationship with Constitutional Law and the fields to which it extends were never suspended.

There were periods of great political tension and trial that required full dedication. On the other hand, difficult political situations are usually accompanied by interesting legal challenges, mainly constitutional, including European Constitutional Law.

The revised edition of 2008 took into account primarily the extensive revision of 2001, with which I was associated as I served as the general rapporteur of the parliamentary majority throughout the period of its drafting and implementation (1995-2001). It also took into account the partial revision of 2008.
