Angelos is preparing to be released from prison after twenty years, but he feels no joy. He fears life out there. Even in prison, however, there are people who support him, encouraging him to write his story, about everything that brought him to this point.

And that's how it all begins…
With a sheet of paper that will open like a blank canvas, he will travel through the wildest waves of pain. He will descend into the basement of his soul, unlock the rusty door, and confront his brutal father, the abuse of his mother and sister, and Alexandros, the friend who introduced him to love, the joy of illusion but also to addictions and pain.

Light alternates with darkness. Hope with despair. Families in disarray and young people at the extremes. The present looks the past in the eye, seeking revenge and justice.

We are like cars at traffic lights: some run the red light, some go through the yellow, some the green, and there are those who have parked in the emergency lane and stay there for years, just watching the lights change colors. If you don't shift gears, if you don't dare, you get stuck in quicksand that slowly swallows you without you realizing it.
