Theotokaria is the name given to books that contain collections of hymns to the Virgin Mary.

As the "Theotokarion" of the Church, what has been established is what Saint Nikodemos the Hagiorite composed, collecting from the manuscripts Theotokaria of the Monasteries of Mount Athos, the canons in the eight tones for each day of the week, and weaving with them - as he himself says - like flowers of a beautiful garden, a colorful, fragrant and multi-flowered wreath for the Theotokos, the queen of heaven.

This edited and improved edition of the sacred Theotokarion was made based on the first edition of 1796 by Saint Nikodemos the Hagiorite, for the glory of the Lady Theotokos and the benefit of all Christians.
