The rechargeable electric toothbrush from Philips removes more plaque and provides healthier gums compared to traditional manual toothbrushes.
With a full charge, its battery can last up to approximately 2 weeks if you brush your teeth twice a day.
Additionally, it features a timer that alerts you to change the brushing area after a short period and a pressure sensor that automatically reduces the toothbrush's speed to protect your gums from intense brushing.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
After about 3 years of use, it stopped working without any prior warning; one day it just died, and pressing the on/off button does nothing. When placed on the charger, it doesn't charge, and the battery LEDs don't even light up. It's likely that the rubber around the toothbrush's shaft cracked with use, allowing water to get inside, which caused it to break.
Sonicare toothbrushes are excellent at brushing, and the feeling of cleanliness they leave you with is unmatched, but unfortunately, they are not reliable at all.
After years of being a user of ORAL B SENSITIVITY -750PRO, which started to have battery issues with the head of the brush, I decided to switch and go for this PHILIPS model. I don't regret it at all. I use it daily, every night, and since the day I received it, it has lasted almost 2.5 weeks without needing to be charged in the morning! I couldn't believe it, but it cleans the teeth very well. It takes a little time to adjust if you're coming from oral b. Another advantage is that it has an indicator to let you know when to change the head with an LED. I don't know what others say, but for me, oral b is finally dead!
User here for a decade of Oral-B with models like the 750, 2500 I made a change to Philips just for testing.
The comparison will be made with the 2500 which is equivalent in terms of price/features.
Let's start with the build quality where even though it has a plastic casing without any rubber grip, it doesn't slip. Quality construction.
Operating noise. No comparison to the tractor motor of Oral-B. Here we have a buzz of much lower intensity. Really big difference.
Battery. First charge lasted 3 weeks with 2-3 brushings per day. I see it lasting a month.
The brush head is, in my opinion, more convenient than the round one of Oral-B, it reaches the back teeth more easily. The cost is, of course, a negative.
The vibration has two levels, the second one is really strong.
The feeling it leaves is very good, just like Oral-B of course. With registration on the Philips website and product declaration, it comes with a 3-year warranty.
As for the negatives, it stops at two minutes, you have to press the button again for more. The pressure light is in the front and below, not easily visible.
Really, so far it was worth the change.
