For a consumption of 45w and a purchase price of 50 euros, it is a decent machine. With the ice chest inside, it quickly lowers the room temperature by about three units, but it significantly increases the humidity. This means that you cannot keep it on all night.
Personally, I consider it a good supplement to air conditioning. You can run it parallel for an hour and save some energy.
Otherwise, it won't do much else, as it will mainly be used as a stationary fan.
For 50 euros, it's better to get a good fan for half the price. It's small as a device, it doesn't compete with an air conditioner at all, and the coolness it provides in the space slightly surpasses the coolness of a fan.
I already had a floor fan (tower) in my office which didn't do anything significant in a space of about 12 square meters. It was just slightly better than having nothing. I wanted to be more economical and although I had some doubts about the effectiveness of these devices, I eventually bought it. Personally, I liked its construction and appearance. It is simple, of course, without remote controls and oscillating function (which personally I wouldn't be interested in and would have to pay extra for). I filled the water tank and it started working. The noise of the fan is tolerable, not something that bothers. After a while, I felt a cool breeze, something less than if there was air conditioning in the room, but I had about 70% of that feeling. Overall, it created comfortable conditions without me having to look at the thermometer and with the window open so that humidity wouldn't be trapped. And it was a hot day. The satisfaction was twofold because besides realizing that it does the job, I didn't mind paying a little extra for it. Now, for people who have high demands and expect this small amount to give them a machine that will make them feel freezing and enjoy seeing the temperature on the thermometer drop rapidly in the room, because only then they will feel cool, I would recommend instead of leaving negative reviews, to dig deep into their pockets and get something else. Tomorrow, when the ice packs included in the packaging freeze and are placed in their position, I believe that the sensation will be even better. After all this, it is an honest and effective device that is worth every penny one spends to acquire it.
The specific one in the photo is not worth 80 euros at all. It is completely primitive in its functions, it does not have a remote control, a timer, and it also does not rotate. Personally, I wanted it to rotate as it was written, and I feel deceived. It does not have wheels. I kept it reluctantly because I needed it urgently. For a 15 sqm room, it is good, it creates a cool atmosphere for several hours, as long as it has ice-cold water and ice. After about 2-3 hours, it needs a change of water-ice. Be careful, it makes noise! to the point of giving you a headache on the 3rd level! It needs attention because if you move it a little from the sides, the water runs, so it is not very portable, and because it is plugged in and combined with running water, I would not recommend it in a house with small children where if they hit it, the water will spill everywhere. (danger)
Update: during a heatwave, it does nothing. The ice melts in half an hour and you have to be on top of it every half hour to change the ice...open-close freezing. In room temperature, there is minimal difference, it is an oven. We went back to the classic fan.
As for the negatives, the humidity that fills the space if you operate it for many hours, like all similar ones (suffocating).
Cold water and ice cubes and it releases cool air filling from the top and the Max point should not be exceeded, it empties from a tap below. For 50 euros it is flawless, I have used it all summer up to 37 degrees, it covers well, after that it loses performance and it is logical
