The author was born in Thessaloniki in the year 1929. Part of his military service was served as a Reserve Second Lieutenant in the Korean War. As a Priest, he served Greek Orthodox Communities in Asia and the Far East, in Canada, and America. His daily forced cohabitation with Muslims in several countries led him to deeply study the Quran, to understand and delve into both the teachings of the Quran and Islamic theology. This work, with much care, respect, and effort to understand the Quran, is the result of many years of study. Many Muslim interlocutors helped him in the decoding and indexing of the texts. He thanks them, as well as Mr. Petros Besparis, the Philologist who undertook the literary editing of the book. He also extends many thanks to Mr. Tasos Kyriakidis, the publisher of the book. With his experienced eye, he saw the importance and usefulness of this book and undertook its publication. The Author has published over twenty-five historical novels, travelogues, theological studies, and collections of short stories to date. Some books were first published in foreign languages and then in Greek. Wherever he encountered Orthodoxy and Hellenism in his priestly ministry, he promoted them with passion and love. He professed his faith in these two great loves of his, wherever he found himself, in the East and the West.
