Once again, Xiaomi did not disappoint me. I come from a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, so the difference is huge. I was a bit hesitant at first since there were no reviews here for me to have any positives and negatives before buying it. Nevertheless, I bought it and so far I have not regretted it. I received the phone on 27/3, so I cannot have a full opinion. However, I will mention some things that I liked.
1) Speakers & Dolby Atmos:
The Dolby feature is a very nice detail. It gives you the ability to activate it and choose the level while you are in the video, game, or movie. The phone has two speakers that play simultaneously. One next to the charging port and one next to the audio jack. The sound is very powerful.
2) 67W charging:
It charges quite fast and I did not expect it. I had in mind that it would charge like all other phones with 67W. I do not know what Xiaomi has done here, but it works wonders on this issue.
3) Battery:
Quite satisfactory. I worked on the phone for about 4 hours installing applications and software updates. The battery dropped significantly but not excessively. Let's assume that it dropped from 66% to 45%. So I am fully satisfied with this part.
4) Camera:
I do not have a big opinion on this issue because I do not deal with it much. Nevertheless, it is satisfactory for an average user.
5) Processor:
It is the reason why I bought the phone. Like the Redmi Note 8 Pro, this one also has a MediaTek processor. At first, I was afraid since I heard many other things, but since I bought the 8 Pro, I started to trust them. As for the MediaTek that this phone has, I cannot have an opinion since I have not used it enough. So I keep a reserve.
6) Construction:
Very sturdy. It is not one of the lightest phones, but it sits quite well in the hand. The cameras protrude significantly, but the problem is solved with the case that Xiaomi provides.
7) Call:
My interlocutor heard me very clearly without any interruption or parasites, as I heard him. The speaker is quite loud, resulting in the interlocutor being heard very well by those around you.
For now, that's all I have to say. I will come back as soon as I have news. For starters, the phone covers me 100% for the use I make of it. However, it will show over time.

The apps started to freeze, especially the camera and maps, they have crazy lags and overall it has lost its smoothness. It was my first XIAOMI, I was a fan of Samsung's mid-range for many years, but after 2 years, they also start to decline. I went for the first time to a flagship (s24) because with mid-range phones from any company, you don't see progress, unless you don't mind changing your phone every 2 years.

6 months purchased and in use unfortunately it developed a problem with the signal. I had two SIM cards inside and constantly one of them would lose signal and the whole phone would lag. I bought the first device for a family member and after 3 months it had a problem with the signal and the internet. We thought it was a coincidence. We bought a second device five months later for my personal use and within a period of 4 months the same thing happened with the signal. The camera is good, but not anything amazing. I had the redmi note 8 (top value for money mobile phone even now I would say, although older) before and I would say that the camera of the current one is slightly better. Coming from Mi 9 Lite which I was quite satisfied with, I was looking for reviews to buy a new phone, with Redmi Note 12 Pro being very close to the features I desire. All the reviews I saw had positive comments, presenting it as a value for money midrange phone (e.g. GsmArena, NotebookCheck, DxoMark, LaurentWillen). However, I also saw some negative reviews here on Skroutz mainly regarding the battery and the signal. I have had the phone for a week and my experience is as follows:
The usage I do is about one hour of YouTube, one hour of browsing-social, 15 to 30 minutes of calls, and a few photos.
The settings I have made are:
- Disable 5G
- Disable msa service (MIUI System Ads)
- Disable Feedback service
- Disable Updater service
- Disable Auto-Sync (I only open it once a week, I don't use Auto-Sync on photos and videos)
- Disable Usage and diagnostics
- Disable Google Assistant
- Disable NFC and Location (I only open them when I need them)
- Default Refresh Rate enabled - 120Hz dynamically (the user experience is very smooth with 120Hz enabled, in my opinion it's not worth running the screen at 60Hz)With these specific settings and the usage I do, the battery life is quite satisfactory, easily lasting one and a half days (I charge it to 80% and use it until 25%). I have chosen to charge it with a 33W Xiaomi charger and not with the 67W one that comes with it, which I only use when I'm in a hurry.
As for the signal quality of the phone, I was worried by the comments of some who reported problems with it and did some tests. As a comparison measure, I have two other phones at home, a Redmi 9A and a Realme C3. So I compared the signal strength of all three phones in various points of the house and the Redmi Note 12 Pro is not inferior to the other two phones anywhere. Specifically, its signal strength was between -102dBm and -113dBm, values that as I saw on the internet are normal for indoors. Outside the house, the signal is even stronger and practically excellent (you can check the signal strength in Settings - About phone - Detailed info and specs - Status - SIM status or by installing a relevant application from the Play Store). As for the wifi, it didn't present any problems, being fast and stable.
