(8/256) I have had the phone for about 1.5 months. Coming from the Poco X3 NFC which constantly ran a Custom ROM (because I dislike MIUI), I wanted a phone with good support and good software so that I wouldn't have to change it again.
In this regard, the A34 runs the latest One UI (Android 14, One UI 6.0 at this moment) and Samsung promises 4 generations of Android (up to Android 17) and 5 years of security updates. Overall, I am very satisfied with One UI - it is fast, beautiful, with many features WITHOUT being overloaded like it used to be with TouchWiz.
In terms of performance, the phone has the Dimensity 1080 which serves me just fine (it may occasionally lag a bit, but that is generally expected from any non-flagship chipset). I have the version with 8GB RAM, but I don't think I would have any issues with 6GB (although over time I believe the difference will show).
The display is gorgeous and 120HZ, which is very welcome. The front camera is in a U-shaped notch, and honestly, it doesn't bother me at all (even coming from the punch hole of the X3).
I can't provide a particular opinion on the camera. It does what I ask, and the software that accompanies it is very good. However, I haven't used the selfie camera yet.
On some smaller features, the speakers are stereo and very good, they do their job excellently. The haptic feedback is quite refined and quality, although I would have liked it to be a bit louder. The charging of the 5000mAh battery is at 25w, which is a decent speed - neither too fast nor agonizingly slow. However, BEWARE. The phone does NOT come with a charger/power brick in the box! It only has a Type-C to Type-C cable, you will need to purchase a charger separately (make sure it is compatible with the PD 3.0 that this device uses).
Overall, it is a very good device that has nothing to envy from the A54 (or even the S23 that I compared, WITHOUT this meaning that you will get a flagship for < 300€). And always, with Samsung's signature, a name that has reached such heights for a reason! (4 stars)
9-month update: Everything continues to run smoothly with the phone, just a week ago it received the Circle To Search feature from the higher S models. The device (from what I have seen) remains a competitive device even with the new models (given that, for example, the A35 has the somewhat hit-and-miss Exynos 1380 of the A54). I believe it is indeed a very complete device, especially if you are not above a Medium user on mobile phones. (5 stars)
