Mobile with a unique appearance reminiscent of an iPhone. Very fast, no lags and good battery. The camera, what can I say... it competes with top iPhone models! The video is stable, good quality and detailed. Really value for money, I see no reason for Apple, wasting money. Well done Samsung!!!
Very good device, reliable and equally functional the micro sd card slot for memory expansion. The battery has a very good duration and the response to touch is perfectly fast. (I also use a screen protection glass from spigen) Just needs to activate touch sensitivity when using screen protection and there will be no problem!
I have it for about a month. It is very fast and doesn't freeze.
The camera is great and its battery currently lasts almost 2 days with data on.
Overall, it is an excellent value for money!!
Perfect, I come from A31 so it's a good upgrade. The only negative thing that both A31 and this A55 had is the terrible fingerprint sensor, but okay, it's Samsung's issue I suppose.
Having the phone for a month, I can say that I am impressed. The phone is beautiful and resembles an iPhone externally. I don't use it for gaming and social media, and the apps I usually use are YouTube, Spotify, and general internet browsing.
In the positives: 1) The camera, without being an expert on the subject, is excellent for the price of the phone. I compared it to the iPhone 12, 13, and 15 Pro. In all cases, the photos were either better or at least equal. In low light conditions, the zoom of the Samsung was better than the iPhone 15 Pro. I didn't make a detailed comparison, and as I said, I'm not an expert, just an observation. Especially in photos with focus, it is excellent. I haven't experienced any lag so far on the device. The big positive is its battery. Coming from an old iPhone, I am amazed by the battery life. I charge it every 1.5 days with data or Wi-Fi on all day, Bluetooth for several hours a day, and continuous usage. The sound is quite clear and high-quality. The only negative thing I can say about the device is the fingerprint on the screen unlock. Many times it doesn't recognize it, and you have to use the alternative unlocking method.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the device.
I have the mobile phone for 15 days now. Having previously had the iPhone SE 2020, the battery difference is HUGE. It easily lasts a day with data on. The screen is amazing, smooth with 120 Hz, crystal clear with Dolby Vision and Atmos on the speakers. 4K on Netflix is a DREAM. One UI is fantastic and fast. Now let's move on to the negatives. The camera is terrible, even though the gallery app provides some enhancements. Being a person with a DSLR and years of iPhone usage, the camera is simply unacceptable for videos, but the photo mode has a good night mode. Videos are just NOT good. The data transfer from PC to mobile via cable is a bit slow. Do yourself a favor and buy an authentic charger because the package only includes a cable.
The fingerprint sensor that everyone criticizes is perfectly fast and effective for me personally, but it definitely doesn't compare to Chinese devices like OnePlus and Xiaomi. It's quite fast even at 60 Hz, but it soars at 120 Hz. The screen resolution, brightness, and speaker are very good, and it has a premium build quality. The operating system is flawless with many years of updates, but unfortunately, it's let down by the cameras. The rear ones are decent, but the front one produces very blurry photos, unlike the A52s that I had. I can't understand why, even though they have the same specs (referring to the front camera). I hope it gets fixed with updates, but I still can't understand why Samsung keeps downgrading its new devices compared to the A52s. The cameras here are inferior, while the A53 and A54 had a weaker processor.
Update: Regarding the cameras, both the rear and front ones, they are actually good, I must say, but you need to keep your hand quite steady because if it moves even a little, the shots come out blurry. So, +1 star.
Incredible phone, for its money you can't find anything better I think... years owner of xiaomi.. at first it just had some issues with the fingerprint now it has been fixed and there is no problem at all
The camera is not good at all, the previous phone (XIAOMI POCO X3) had a much better camera and it was a 4-year-old phone. Overall, it is good without any lag, but the fingerprint sensor is not the fastest.
This particular mobile phone is flawless. For as long as I can remember, I have had Samsung phones but I always admired and wanted an iPhone. Fortunately, they are expensive and I did not have the luxury to buy one, nor to pay in installments. However, I wanted a mobile phone that combines a nice exterior appearance with good construction, a good camera and video, large storage space, and finally to be fast, without lagging. Well, this phone has it all. It's awesome. Even the battery. It charges in less than an hour and lasts me all day (I always keep the battery between 30% - 80%) while I constantly have it in my hands. The way I use it is scrolling through social media and apps, music, photos, and videos for personal use and not professional, and one or two games to pass the time. The speakers sound loud and clear. The camera is wonderful, it even has the ability for live photos, the videos are amazing with high resolution, and its functionality is flawless. Face ID is fast as well as the fingerprint sensor. Honestly, it has nothing to envy from higher category phones. For those who want a user-friendly, beautiful, and functional phone at a reasonable price, you are in the right place. It will not disappoint you.
P.S. There are videos on YouTube comparing this particular model to higher category phones. Take a look
I bought it for 275 euros with tax deduction, after using XIAOMI for several years. I have had it for 1.5 months and I still haven't gotten used to it. It hasn't been convenient for me in general, as Google Maps and Messenger sometimes freeze. Its unlocking speed is not fast enough, and it is quite thick and heavy. Of course, I knew some of these things when I bought it, but because I was tired of Xiaomi's MIUI, I decided to give it a try. For me, the only positive aspect is the camera.
Basically one of the best phones that Samsung has released in the 350-400 euro range. Very good camera/video and features. The battery lasts 24 hours with heavy usage. I think the external casing of the phone is amazing. One of the best designs. Overall, I am very satisfied.
Value for money in its greatness. The phone externally is beautiful, with a large screen and perfect colors, on-screen fingerprint sensor that works quite fast, without any lags even with a screen protector. The bezels could definitely be smaller, however, it is not something that detracts significantly from the beauty of the phone. The metal frame adds a lot. The glass back is a fingerprint magnet. Here's a note: The color, although it looks black, is clearly dark navy blue. Internally, the phone is worth its money and more. It excels in everyday use without any hiccups or lags, with Samsung's classic easy and fast software with nice extra features like Bixby (Samsung's Siri). The cameras may be the weakest point of the phone, however, they will not disappoint. They are definitely not aimed at professionals, but they easily meet the needs of the everyday user. I highly recommend it.
Truly good quality mobile phone, after Huawei/Xiaomi both in construction and features. The camera is excellent, the battery lasts a lot, the only problem I faced is with my old memory card but maybe it's because it's old...
Amazing phone. Sturdy construction, excellent camera and screen. Coming from the Motorola Edge 40 neo which supported super fast charging, the only thing that concerned me was its battery, which ultimately easily lasts the day even when I use it heavily. So the battery is also great. Bright and clear screen even under the midday sun and excellent speakers. I haven't found anything to disappoint me, I highly recommend it.
Faithful to Samsung since the days of the S3. I have consecutively bought the S5, S7, S10, and S20. Now I don't spend so much on a mobile phone! Two years ago I bought the A53. A few days ago the A55. Purchased for 332. The mobile phone is very good, guys. In terms of appearance, it gives the impression of being closer to the S series. No lags (the A53 had occasional lags). Sound and image are great. Battery easily lasts a day (more internet use). And quite good photos and videos. If someone wants a very good mobile phone and not just for show, they can invest without hesitation!
Fantastic mobile phone, perhaps the best in its price range. Being a Xiaomi user, the various features of Samsung (edge panels, split screen or apps in pop-up windows) are a pleasant change and enhance the user experience. The position for the memory card is convenient, as you can already save money from buying a version with more space. The build quality of the phone for this price is also incredible, you feel like you are holding something good and not something plastic. Finally, for the average user, both the battery and the charging are more than satisfactory, usually lasting more than a day.
Nice mobile but not better than the Huawei Nova 9. I got this mobile after renewing my connections and because I didn't want to pay a fortune for a mobile (I have a principle of never spending more than 300€ on a mobile). Good screen but not better than the nova. Fast but not as smooth as expected. Camera sound what one would expect from a mid-range mobile, let alone Samsung. If I didn't need Google services, which at least for now the nova 9 hasn't received emui 14 to successfully install Microg and be at ease, I wouldn't have bought it, or at least I wouldn't have kept it and would have given it to my wife or one of my children. Slow charging with 25W especially when you're used to the nova's 66W charging speed that goes from 20% to 100% in half an hour. Durability will show in the future after a reasonable period of cohabitation. I don't play games so I don't have an opinion. The compulsory purchase of an extra case is necessary for its protection, as well as the glass on the screen. Reasonable expenses if you want to take care of it. It's not logical to be forced to buy a 25W charger when I have a much faster one but it doesn't recognize it to charge at its maximum speed and charges conventionally with a truly faster charger. At least tragic and that's why 4*. The good thing about it is that I also got the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE for just 20€ in a package deal with the mobile.
Coming from the Samsung S20 Plus, because I considered the S24 Plus too expensive for the job I need it for, and because I preferred to stay with the company because I am very satisfied with its products, despite the better specifications, at least on paper, of Xiaomi and Realme, I decided with some reservation to get the A55!
In the end, not only did I not regret it, but I remained completely satisfied with its sturdy construction, its rich display with beautiful natural colors, its sound, the speed of its processor, the photos, and even its battery, which all together make it a very reliable and honest device for its class and price!
I recommend it!
I have been following the series for a while now, starting from A50, A71, A52, and now A55. The upgrade is not extraordinary, but clearly better than its predecessors. Much better colors on the screen, much better diagonal compared to the A52, which seemed narrow, fast operating system, visually beautiful, and all the pros that its predecessors had (dual SIM, stereo, IP65, etc.). I'm bothered that they removed the jack and the radio, but okay, I will compromise with the idea that we are in 2024. I notice slow charging, but I have the impression that the battery lasts longer (with heavy usage, it lasted me the whole day until 30%). Is it worth upgrading? Definitely yes from the A52. I highly recommend it.
Former owner of an iPhone for many years, this particular mobile phone advertises Samsung as it should. Impressive is its battery and honestly within 2 months I have torn it apart
To the friend who compares it to the a52s, it cannot be compared. My wife has been using the a52s since 11/21, it is still a good device today and keeps up with the times, but only to a certain extent. Unfortunately, I had to part ways with my beloved Huawei for professional reasons, as I was facing issues with banks, POS, etc. I chose the a55 purely for the "play safe" aspect of the situation, instead of going for "better" devices in terms of specs like Xiaomi, Realme, etc. From the reviews I read about its amazing feel in the hand, aluminum, super-duper glass, etc., my expectations were quite high (I'm not really interested in build quality). But when I held it and swapped the sim card from the nova 9... without exaggeration, the nova 9 has a better feel and aesthetics, but when compared to the a52s, we're talking about a chaotic difference in terms of construction. As for the software, it's classic Samsung, everything runs smoothly. The battery is good, definitely better autonomy compared to previous models, and I really wonder why some consider it insufficient. I use Bluetooth and data all day, make calls, and even at night, I still have around 40% battery. The only issue is the slow charging compared to Huawei's 66w and full charge in 40 minutes. Going down to 25w for an hour and a half+ seems bad to you. The cameras, I would say that I liked that they don't exaggerate the colors like previous models. The video quality is good. The processor is reliable. The size is BIG with large bezels, which is subjective and depends on each person's preference, but it does resemble an iPhone to a certain extent. It cost me 300€, was it a gift? Is it value for money?... It definitely deserves the money
I had xiaomi .... and I decided to get samsung for something better. After 20 days the screen turned black, I was very disappointed and it's going for service. Too bad because I thought Samsung would be a guarantee!!!!
5 stars comfortable. The mobile is excellent in everything, without trying to excel in something. It is exactly what Samsung intended, a very good midrange mobile that also caters to demanding users. The battery is excellent (now that I am writing this it has 48% and I charged it yesterday morning at 7 - with data and Bluetooth on). It charges slowly yes but personally it doesn't bother me because I usually charge it at night. Camera satisfactory for its price, very good sound (it has Dolby Atmos in the settings for those who don't know), the operating system is smooth and polished. I don't play games but I don't think it's a gaming device anyway. Excellent appearance. I come from Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, which, despite the comparisons saying the opposite, lagged in everything, except for the super fast charging, BUT it would drain by 5 in the afternoon with a morning charge of the same day
I have the A52s 5g and I was thinking of getting the A55, but it's not worth it at all to change devices since the differences for the better are minimal. (my sister got the phone) and I got it for 2 days to see the differences and if it's worth it. Well, it's not worth it.
The mobile phone is a good upgrade from the previous very good A54. Aluminum frame and waterproof for immersion in water. Very satisfactory in both phone use and camera. It will satisfy the user in everything he asks for, for its price category. The other person writes in the comment after a year I have a problem. The mobile phone was released 3 months ago in the market, it would be good before we comment to know five things.
After a year of use, it sticks incredibly, the charging plug is broken and I don't get good signal, and it's not because of the provider because I have another phone with the same provider!!!!
I do not recommend it....
Unboxing is simple and minimalistic. The shape is large and a plus is that it has the dimensions of an iPhone 15 pro max. Slightly larger bezels than perfect, but it feels very nice in the hand. A bit heavier than it should be. Immediate and easy transition of data and accounts from Android or iOS. The screen is premium. Purchased a Spigen military grade case. Will come back for a detailed review on battery and photos.
