Description

What makes the oligarchs of our time not accept the oligarchic nature of their politics? Do they ignore the basic concepts? Are they ashamed to admit that they are driven by a deep oligarchic ideology? Do they seek to prevent progress in order to maintain their real ownership of the state and, consequently, to subordinate the purpose of politics to their own interests and those of the profiteers? On the other hand, what makes societies entrust governance to the oligarchs and then protest because they ignore and appropriate the public purpose of politics? Why, instead of protesting, do they not demand their participation in political decisions, so that they can partially judge them (representation) or entirely (democracy) what is right and what is not for the country? Modern thinking, in order to prevent the society of citizens from redefining its mandate, has trapped it in the dilemma of (supposed) "complexity", combined with the argument that it is not acceptable for the ignorant and uneducated mob to govern, because their thinking touches the level of humble feelings and self-interest, and obviously does not have the (intellectual and real) ability to acquire the necessary, accurate and profound knowledge of political issues! However, in this question Aristotle will object: "Each of the many on his own is inferior to the experts, but all together are much better or, at least, not worse than the experts." Furthermore, the society of citizens will govern in its own interest, the few in their own interest. The author believes that the restraint of Greece's and humanity's course towards destruction will only come through the overcoming of the oligarchic regime and the representative mutation of the state.
