You put it in your toolbox with a 3Ah battery and you are covered for 90% of screwing-drilling cases (including walls). I don't think there is a worthy competitor.
The battery lasts for a full day of use (about 6 hours of heavy use - screwing panels on the ceiling, for example).
Unfortunately, the tip unscrews quite easily and we have to screw it back on several times during the day.
If you use it for occasional DIY projects, obviously these "issues" won't affect you. But for professional use and considering its price, it could have been slightly better.
Quite good! Sturdy and lightweight for easy carrying with the small bag it comes with, and to work for hours without being tired from its weight like with the 18-volt ones. It has been very helpful in most woodworking tasks and every time I needed a hammer drill, it performed excellently on bricks and concrete without reinforcement. Where it lacks is in power for screwing in screws or in solid wood for screws longer than 4 cm. but it is understandable for its category. Otherwise, it is truly an excellent tool!
edit: 3 years later, it still works flawlessly with Professional use! Its batteries are tireless too! I will definitely buy the same one if it breaks!
I have had it for a month and I use it for amateur purposes. I drilled 8mm holes in an old warehouse concrete and mainly in bricks to hang shelves, everything worked fine as expected. Of course, it is not SDS but a battery-powered hammer drill. It is small, sturdy, brushless, with a lithium battery that does not tire the hand, and I easily screwed non-stop with 4X60mm screws. It is expensive, I would say, as you can do the same job with less money, but it is a reputable tool and I expect it to last for years.
Update:
After ten months of having it and minimal use (mainly screwing with a 3.5X20 metal screw), a problem occurred. The drill fully charged its battery when stored. As a result, two batteries were damaged. I sent it to the Bosch service in Thessaloniki (the service was very polite and helpful) after a phone call and providing all the necessary documents. The drill was repaired, and they sent me two new batteries without any financial burden (I was not charged for shipping either). They returned it within 7 days.
Update 15/11/2023:
Purchased on February 12, 2020.
I am coming back after the expiration of the three-year warranty, and with minimal light use, it presented the same aforementioned problem. I will not send it for repair and I avoid leaving the battery inside the drill. I believe that the Bosch GSB 12V-30 model is defective as it repeatedly presents the same problem even after being repaired. I recommend avoiding purchasing this model.
