Τα Kingston φλασάκια έχουν όλα την ίδια συνταγή: πολύ φθηνά σε σχέση με όλες τις υπόλοιπες μάρκες για τα GB που προσφέρουν, ΟΚ ποιότητα κατασκευής αλλά: Χαμηλές ταχύτητες εγγραφής. Πολλές φορές διαβάζω ότι τα Kingston έχουν και θέμα στη διάρκεια της ζωής τους και στην ποιότητα των εγγεγραμμένων αρχείων, αλλά εγώ δεν έχω αντιμετωπίσει τέτοιο πρόβλημα ποτέ, ούτε με φλασάκια, ούτε και με κάρτες SD της Kingston. Τι να πω.. Για το Kingston DataTraveler Micro 16GB USB 3.1 παντως έχω δει τα εξής:

Αρνητικά:
Δεν ξέρω γιατί, αλλά σε όλα τα kingston usb 3 φλασάκια που έχω αγοράσει, στην εγγραφή αρχείων σε αυτά δίνουν ένα peak ταχύτητας στην αρχή και μετά πέφτουν σε μια USB 2 ταχύτητα της τάξης των 6ΜΒ/sec.
Έτσι και στο DataTraveler Micro τι κι αν είναι 3.1 πάλι ρυθμό εγγραφής περίπου 6ΜΒ/sec έχει.
Ίσως όμως αυτό είναι και το μόνο αρνητικό που βρήκα για αυτό το USB.

Θετικά:
Παρά την κακή (χαμηλή) ταχύτητα εγγραφής είναι δύσκολο να κλάψεις τα χρήματά σου σε αυτά τα GB (πχ στα 16GB κοστίζει κάτω απο 10€).
Είναι εξαιρετικά compact, πολύ βολικό για χρήσεις όπως σε αυτοκίνητο, να το φυλάς στο πορτοφόλι (σχεδόν μηδενικό βάρος) απλά θέλει προσοχή γιατί για τους ίδιους λόγους μπορεί να "πέσει" πουθενά και να χαθεί (πχ κάτω απο το γραφείο) είναι πολύ μικρό.
Πολύ στιβαρή κατασκευή, έχει αυτή τη "μονοκόμματη" μεταλλική επένδυση που, πιστεύω, το βοηθάει να αντέχει πολλές πτώσεις που έχει φάει..
Η ταχύτητα ανάγνωσης από αυτό είναι πολύ καλή (ίσως το μόνο USB 3 στοιχείο του).

Σαν συμπέρασμα, θα το πρότεινα σε κάποιον αλλά με την προυπόθεση ότι γνωρίζει ότι θα έχει πολύ αργές ταχύτητες εγγραφής σε αυτό.

Small and convenient with a durable metal casing, it easily fits on your keys without getting damaged. It gets very hot, especially in the summer, after using it and trying to take it out, you might get burned. Initially, it wasn't that hot, but it seems like the heat wasn't fully absorbed. However, during winter it doesn't get as hot.

Speeds on USB2 on both PC (i3) and Laptop for large files (e.g. 2gb movie) - I'm referring to the 32gb model.

Read: consistent 32mb/sec (initially 38mb/sec but quickly drops)
Write: consistent 9mb/sec (writes the first 250mb at 15mb/sec and then drops to 9mb/sec, especially for large movies). Be careful with internet tests using "special" programs, usually the recording file is not very large, resulting in it appearing faster than it actually is, as it writes the first 250mb faster at 15mb/sec (probably due to buffering).

It could be faster, but rarely do such small flash drives perform that well. It would perform better in USB3, at least in terms of read speed. For those considering it as a possible option for CAR AUDIO for MP3, I would advise against it due to the fact that it gets very hot (common for USB3). In that case, choose other solutions, similarly small but USB2, as most USB2 flash drives don't get hot at all. It might be slightly slower in writing (as if that is "fast"), but for a car where you mostly read from it rather than write, it shouldn't be a major concern.

edit 12/12/16. I am impressed by its physical durability (it still looks new even though it's been on my keys) and the fact that after about a year, it still works on all USB ports without needing to wiggle it left/right/in/out to get it to be recognized (which has happened with several other flash drives I have).

edit 12/4/2019. It continues to work perfectly despite the "unsafe" disconnects/removals I occasionally subject it to (i.e. occasional repairs). However, don't consider it (like any flash drive) as "indestructible". A friend of mine had the same flash drive burn out after a prolonged large recording (which overheated it).

Update 8/11/2019. Today, after 3.5 years, the flash drive "gave up" (R.I.P).

No, it didn't overheat after a large copy, no, it wasn't abruptly removed while in use. It simply connected to the same PC it had been connected to for years and didn't "turn on". It was "dead". It served its purpose well as long as it worked. It always read without needing to wiggle it and didn't get externally damaged despite the "abuse" it endured with the keys in my pockets. The only issue was that it got hot when doing recordings, which many (especially small USB 3.X) flash drives do. Would I buy it again? Maybe, because it's one of the smallest and made of metal. Besides, we never leave our files in one place (we have backups) and no flash drive (at least USB 3) should be considered "indestructible" as you may know.
