Review - Comparison - Report for lavalier microphones

Shenzhen PULUZ Tech LTD is a moderate manufacturer in China specializing in camera accessories, mobile phones, cameras, camera bags, tripod mounts, photographic lighting, diving cases, etc. It is not a new company and is headquartered in a 10,000 square meter facility.

Regarding the PU3151B lavalier microphone, I do not have a 100% documented opinion at the moment due to time constraints, I am simply sharing my initial impressions based on the samples I received.

It comes with a beautiful case that predisposes you to a quality product. It includes a detailed manual, a high-quality Type C dongle, 2 beautiful lavalier microphones, 2 small Type C charging cables, and 2 microphone foams. I would recommend charging them with a 30W adapter and above for faster charging and for battery health reasons.

It is plug and play without the need for any software, simply connect the dongle to your mobile phone, press and hold the power button of the microphone for 3-4 seconds, and they connect instantly. I would prefer the clip to have a greater depth and be tighter to stand more securely and correctly on you, but it seems durable (at least for now). They support AAC with 44100hz/16bit which you can activate when connected to a computer, and "yes, they also connect to a computer" for those who ask, if your motherboard has a TYPE C for the dongle.

COMPARISON WITH BOYA
In comparison, BOYA has a greater range, the sound at a distance is slightly louder but slightly inferior in low frequencies. The sound of BOYA seems 15% more crystal clear. In terms of distance, PULUZ outperforms by 4-5 meters. Somewhere they excel, somewhere they lose to BOYA lavalier microphones to a small extent.

PRICE COMPARISON WITH BOYA
As for the price, there is no discussion. With 20€ you get the package with 2 PULUZ microphones, while with 30€ you get the BOYA with one microphone or pay for the v2 package (with 2 microphones) at almost triple the price, according to skroutz stores. Essentially, BOYA are more widespread as a Productivity sound, but this says nothing about a slight quality deviation between these two.

So in terms of value for money, PULUZ clearly outperforms. It is not an unknown company and exports to America and Europe with ISO, there is support and the possibility of immediate replacement. For me, it is worth buying at 20-23€ for 2 quite good microphones - for a start.

Tips for PULUZ.
Place the microphone at least 13-15cm away from the sound source and in the center to avoid muffled sound.
