The headphones are hi-fi open back with detachable cables in mini jack 3.5mm or jack (plug) which are included in the package along with an adapter from plug to mini jack.
The construction is of good quality with good plastics, soft foam-like cushions, very lightweight. The headband has a leather covering and may wear out over time.
They are not flat. Those looking for monitor headphones for professional studio use or audio editing should look into more expensive categories, I would say from €300 and above. For everyone else who is not bothered by frequency coloring, they are quite balanced, especially in the high frequencies, and provide a very good soundstage and spatial perception.
Specifically, they emphasize the high-bass and low mid frequencies. If you can customize these bands with an equalizer, you will have a sound closer to reality.
Finally, due to being open back, they do not have subwoofer-type bass as they cut off below 60 hertz.
Conclusion: For its price, it is very honest and will satisfy the demanding user who is looking for quality warm sound with detail and clarity.
The best thing about them is the sound, which is amazing and clear. The bass is satisfactory for open back headphones, I have no complaints. They are lightweight yet sturdy, as they have fallen down 3-4 times and still work fine. They are comfortable on the head. The headphones come with a cable of about 2.5-3 meters. One end is 3.5mm for the headphones, and the other end is 6.3mm for connecting to a sound card. It also includes a smaller 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and an adapter from the larger 6.3mm plug to 3.5mm. Now, regarding the cushions, they are very comfortable and easy to remove and wash.
I have had this product for about three months now, and I am impressed with both the quality of construction and the sound itself, as it is clear and "open", which is greatly helped by the fact that it is open back. It works very well with a simple 3.5mm jack on a computer or mobile phone, but with a sound card, the capabilities of the headphones are much greater. From my own experience, I would highly recommend it, as it not only has better sound but also better construction compared to headphones of this category such as the Audio Technica ATH-M50x Wired Over Ear Studio, although not as good as the DT 770pro. The only downside, or rather a good thing depending on the use of the product, is that it is open back, which means that the sound will be heard outside of your ear.
I received them on 22/07/21, so I have had them for almost 1.5 years at the time of writing this review, and I really love them. Incredibly comfortable open-back headphones, very enjoyable sound but at the same time BALANCED, you can truly hear all frequencies well. I am clumsy with them, they have fallen several times and even though they are made of plastic, they haven't suffered any damage. They have a detachable cable that "locks" into the headphones, so if something happens you can simply replace it. They are so lightweight that you don't even realize you're wearing them. They have low Ohm, so they don't require a good sound card, they produce good sound on all devices. The only downside for me is that the ear pads get dirty easily due to their material, but it's one of the reasons why they are so comfortable, so I can't complain. 10/10, I highly recommend them.
My first open back headphones.
I admit that having been accustomed to other types of headphones (closed back, Bluetooth, etc.), I was initially not satisfied.
As a beginner in the field of headphones and good sound in general, I had the feeling that the music was weak and lacking volume.
I use them with an ifi zen can amplifier.
After a month of use, everything changed.
I think that the way I listen has changed.
Detail, comfort, clarity, and for the first time, I can distinguish the instruments.
For the money I spent, what I get back is disproportionately good.
I highly recommend them, especially to entry-level listeners like myself.

At 125 euros, it's the best in terms of comfort and sound quality 5/5.
It is open back, so don't expect sound isolation.
After many months and really a lot of searching, I ended up with the HD 599, the difference with the steelseries siberia which they replaced is really HUGE. Clear sound, I would say crystal clear, without unnecessary bass which is the best for the use I want them for. Overall, I was looking for headphones for fps gaming (warzone) that would give you that extra something in terms of awareness. Now I hear everyone and everything. I was disappointed because I wanted the classic gaming headset with a microphone, but with 50 euros I got an extra microphone with a 'crane'. I couldn't have made a better choice. And guys, let's not fool ourselves, at 119 euros in terms of sound quality and not RGB and stories, it's the best you can get, completely comfortable and lightweight after many hours of use. From me, 5 out of 5.
Generally, I am unfamiliar with sound and did not want to get involved with an amp. I wanted something with low ohms to perform well on mobile laptops and the PS5. I don't know if I could have made a better choice. The sound in movies and gaming is incredibly detailed, especially where there is good sound design, the experience is something unprecedented. Also, their open-back design greatly helps to feel the space. For music, some are fantastic with very realistic bass and fantastic results in vocals, while others are just good. A very good choice and I think the price is good at 150.
Update one year later+ (07/07/2022): it is perhaps the best purchase I have made, incredibly comfortable headphones, amazing in all aspects, and you can wear them for hours without getting tired at all.
There are no other headphones at this price range that separate all frequencies so well, have such detail and a huge, truly huge soundstage. They are truly incredible, I fell in love with the sound from the first moment I heard them and over time it became even better. They make you want to turn up the volume to the maximum! I don't know why everyone here says as a negative that they don't have sound isolation, come on guys, they are open back headphones... I would recommend to anyone who buys them to also invest in an entry level amp
Classic Sennheiser headphones, you turn the sound all the way up and you don't hear the slightest distortion. Anyone who has used other Sennheiser headphones, even the cheaper ones, knows more or less what to expect. The sound is sweet without being tiring at all, the lows, mids, and highs are well separated, unlike the 598s, the 599s have bass, don't expect it to be like the Fidelio X2, and the sound gets even better over time. Another point where Sennheiser excels is how lightweight they are, the Fidelio X2s tired me out a lot, but with these it's like you're not wearing anything. I see many people consider it a negative that they don't isolate external noise... guys, they're open-back headphones. For me, the only negative is the cables that Sennheiser provides, they're very plastic, the connection to the headphones is a 2.5mm jack and it has a notch to lock it. In other words, if you want to buy another cable, you have to get it from Sennheiser for 20 euros.
I have mixed feelings. For some genres of music, they are the best I have ever tried. Acoustic songs like "Hurt" by Johnny Cash sound truly wonderful. But anything else feels like going to a bass concert without actually getting the bass, and I'm always stuck on this line where you try to get something really enjoyable but it never quite reaches it.
They sound warm on their own, which can make them a bit dull in certain songs like "Down With the Sickness." But at the same time, they can produce enough treble when needed, and because of that, they provide a lot of detail. I've heard small details that were not present in other headphones or speakers.
For point of reference, I also have Cloud 2 and SHP9500. They objectively sound better and more alive than the Clouds, but they lose in several aspects compared to the Philips.
Confused? I am too. They have their good and bad sides. The reason I give them a 5 out of 5 is because objectively they are not bad headphones, and I struggle to find something better for this price.
There are the SHP9500, but I wouldn't say they are better. They are different. They have more soundstage, but because of that, they lose a bit in dynamics.
In short:
Bass: It exists, but it doesn't exist. The sound is permanently warm with boosted specific frequencies in the lows, but it doesn't have that thump, that kick that other headphones like the SHP9500 have (which are also open-back).
Mids: The results vary quite a bit depending on the song. In some rock and metal songs, they are a bit too boosted, making it sound a bit muffled. But in acoustic songs with violins and acoustic guitars, they are the best I have ever tried.
Highs: Overall, they are fine. Neither super wow nor bad.
At the end of the line, it depends on what you want. Those of you who prefer heavy disco or metal songs, I would suggest looking elsewhere. But for those who love acoustic songs and classical music, these are some of the best, if not the best, for their price.
They did not give me what I expected. The sound is flat and lifeless, lacking liveliness and warmth, but it is not tiring at all. I have not found any genre of music in which these specific aspects shine (update: shine in the focal, in the vocals, that is, the voices of people are very natural and alive!!!). I regret the purchase because the sound style does not suit me. They are easily driven by a simple mobile phone, which is a plus. They are open back, meaning the sound goes out and comes in. Ideal for home use if you want to hear what's happening in your home. Not suitable for outdoor use as you will disturb those around you. If you want to use them outdoors, go for closed-back headphones. The quality is good and the comfort is out of this world, even for glasses wearers like me. They did not satisfy me and obviously I need to increase my budget. Some people like the sound of the Sennheiser, others do not. I would advise you to listen to them before buying. Sound 3.5/5, comfort 5/5, build quality 4/5, value for money 3.8/5 at the price of 150 euros. The last pro is that you will have spare parts for many years. If you have high demands, go for more expensive ones with preamplification.

-Great for FPS games due to their open construction, which gives a sense of space.
-You can hear external sounds while wearing them, such as bells or when someone speaks to you without needing to take them off.
Negatives:
-Lack in low frequencies. They do not provide satisfactory bass and sub.
-They do not fold and do not come with a carrying pouch.
-They do not have good sound isolation, so you can hear annoying noises from the environment.
-Sound leaks due to the open back construction, which may disturb those around you.
-You need to invest in an external sound card if you want to use them to their full potential.
I bought them about a year ago for around €200.
At €150, the current price, it is worth buying them.
However, for music with strong kicks and headbanging in general, I would not prefer them.

In a few words, the best open back headphones for use with both mobile and 50 ohm DAC. These are strictly for use with a DAC, as open back headphones require it.
Beyond that, they have a huge soundstage for their price, incredible balance in mids and highs, with great clarity. (Although, for those who prefer warm sound, it may not be ideal, for example, HD 600, 650, etc.)
As everyone knows, open back headphones do not have deep bass, which is perfectly logical... However, these headphones have HIGH END BASS, meaning there is a punchy bass that slightly overshadows the mids without hiding them, which is impressive for this type of headphones.
They are for home use, obviously, because they have sound leak.
I have listened to headphones in the range of 400-500 euros, and I can say that these headphones are relatively close in terms of quality. They are not flat in any way, nor warm in their sound.
They are very comfortable with leather on the headband and suede ear cushions that do not cause any fatigue.
They are very lightweight and have good quality plastic. In the package, there are 2 cables, one for mobile devices, 1.2 meters long, and one for amplifiers, 5 meters long.
I will deduct one star because after months of use, the plastic started to creak, and also the paint is very prone to scratches.
