In the book, more than 2100 couplets are presented, recorded as they sound in Pontic, as a result of the author's continuous and long-lasting effort, for decades, in collecting data from older refugees of the first and second generations, whom he had the chance to meet and live with, recording as much as he could, from his youth until today. The author's goal is to highlight the richness and depth of words, concepts, emotions, etc., contained in traditional Pontic couplets, stimulating the imagination and mental state of each poet, regardless of the time, and to express his personal effort to imitate the older ones, expressing his emotions and thoughts in his writings, to the extent that this could be achieved within his fifteen-syllable structure, and beyond. At the same time, the author abolishes the issues that arose from the population exchange, according to the Treaty of Lausanne on 30/1/1923, for these people in their new homelands, as "exchangeable" refugees.
