The Sony WF-C500 wireless headphones are aimed at individuals seeking a practical and user-friendly headset for everyday use. They are specifically designed to offer reliable wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and can be used for listening to music, watching videos, or making phone calls. They are a good choice for individuals looking for dependable headphones for daily use and leisure activities.
The WF-C500 headphones fit securely in your ear and deliver high-quality sound, rich in detail, thanks to DSEE technology, which restores fading and high-frequency sounds.
A more enjoyable listening experience
Sony's Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) restores high-quality sound and gradual volume attenuation in the track, for a more authentic experience. You can also adjust the equalizer settings in the Sony | Headphones Connect app.
Make your music sound more natural
When the original source of music is compressed, the high frequencies that enrich each track are lost. Sony's Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) faithfully restores them, to offer you high-quality sound that approaches the original recording. Your sound, just the way you like it.
Adjust the sound to your preferences. Choose the right sound quality for your music from a variety of preset settings. Or save your own presets with the equalizer adjustments of Sony│Headphones Connect.
Small and lightweight, with a perfect fit
The small size of the earphones offers a comfortable and stable fit. The round shape without edges ensures comfortable use, so you are not distracted from what really matters, which is the music.
Pocket-sized case that fits everywhere
The cylindrical charging case is extremely small and easily carried in a pocket or bag, so you can take the headphones with you everywhere. The transparent lid with a frosted glass texture gives it an elegant sense of luxury.
Easy control with buttons
With the buttons on the WF-C500 headphones, you control playback, pause or skip tracks, and adjust the volume. Additionally, you have easy access to the smartphone's Voice Assistant and hands-free calls.

It may be the best headphones I have bought so far. Really reliable.
The positives:
+ Volume
+ Sound
+ Bass (Very strong bass)
+ Battery life (Lasts as long as they say with a small exception of about 20 minutes)
+ Quality
+ Connection (They connect directly to my mobile and laptop)
The only negatives:
- Microphone (You can't hear well on calls)
- Price (They could have been cheaper)
I believe it is worth giving something more for something better. Also, the good thing is that you can adjust the volume, but it is not touch, it is with a button that is pressed unintentionally if you lie down. The sound out of the box is bad, I don't know if it improves with an application.
The left one stopped working after two months. Searching the internet, I saw that this happens often. The sound quality was very good, but they kept disconnecting. (Used with iPhone 15). I got a replacement and ultimately did not choose the same ones.
I've had them for a few weeks. Quality quite good, lightning-fast connection with the phone, fit in my ear excellent even while running on the track, sound from another dimension although for me I needed to download the Sony app for extra bass and a variation in sound due to taste. When you buy them, download the Sony app on your phone to go to the manual to adjust anything you don't like about the sound and you'll see amazing things. Don't be intimidated by the manual in the app; it's a piece of cake.
Very good headphones in terms of sound, the control buttons are annoying because they are easily pressed, their battery is excellent, they broke after 3 months
From Xiaomi and Edifier of similar price, it is significantly better!
Huge battery, clear sound, easy connectivity that doesn't get lost every now and then!
The headphones are amazing in terms of sound quality, etc. from every aspect. They only have a small issue, in the long run, one of the two, mainly the right one, disconnects and no matter what you do. I had gotten 3-4 replacements and the same issue kept happening.
If you want them for music, don't prefer them. They are mediocre to weak in bass and sound.
The application is mediocre to bad.
They constantly fall out of my ears, and the worst part is that when I try to put them back in, I accidentally hang up on the person I'm talking to.
Especially for exercise, they are not worth it.
I had purchased the JBL Tune 225TWS and it was the worst purchase I have ever made, with a persistent issue with their connection and relatively low battery life. Then I got these and saw the light! I had no complaints about the conversations, even though it doesn't have Noise cancellation.
The headphones are good, and they also have various DSP, one option is the "xtra bass", for a stronger bass ..... at 55 euros they are worth it, they are for an immersive experience that does not disappoint.
Use exclusively for exercise. In my ears, they don't fit well at all, resulting in the need to readjust them every 5 minutes of exercise. I was not satisfied with the sound quality either, as on two occasions when I wanted to have a conversation, they couldn't hear me. The battery life is very long. Overall, I was not satisfied with these headphones! UPDATE: I am coming back to comment on these headphones as I changed the silicone ear tips and noticed an improvement. They are decent to good for running outdoors. I am adding one more star.
4 stars only for the call noise cancelation. It makes it difficult for those on the phone to hear me with external noises.. but in terms of sound, build quality, bass, noise cancelation, connection speed, battery life it's 5/5
I have been using them for about six months. Overall, I am satisfied. I use them daily, mainly for music and the occasional series. Like other Sony headphones in the same price range, if there is not complete silence in the room, the person you are talking to on calls will not be able to hear you clearly. So, if you talk a lot, it will get on your nerves.
They have good battery life, the Sony app is useful with many customization options, they fit well and do not fall out easily, they connect instantly and do not disconnect randomly.
On the downside, the buttons are large and can be pressed accidentally, and the bass performs well up to about 80% volume, after which it starts to fade.
I would say they are worth the 50-plus euros I paid, and I hope they last at least two years, like the Sony WF-XB700 I had before these.
Update one year later...
Just like with the WF-XB700, the right earphone suddenly stopped working without any symptoms. The warranty was still valid, so I sent them for repair, but it seems like it cannot be fixed, so I received a store credit for the purchase amount.
As for the sound and everything else, what I mentioned above still holds true, and for me, it's time to switch to another brand
The headphones are good for music, they are of good quality BUT when there is a little bit of wind, the person you are talking to cannot hear you well. So, they are worth it for music but not for conversation. The above is after 6 months of use. I would not buy them again
The headphones lack volume.
That is the main reason why I give them 3 stars.
Same volume as 5€ headphones from a street vendor.
Now, if we discuss the quality of materials, sound, weight, and other such things, considering their brand name (Sony), it is mediocre.
3 stars is generous enough.
Whatever I write is not enough. It's incredible. Tremendous sound, high quality and clear as expected from Sony. Immediate connectivity with the iPhone 13 Pro and perfect control buttons. Increase volume, decrease volume, pause, and their application is very helpful. Very good build quality. Fast charging, they fit perfectly in the ear. Truly enjoyable.
POSITIVES
1. Good application on the ear and they don't fall out for no reason.
2. Quite good sound quality, especially with the application if you download it.
3. Great battery autonomy (I can use it for a 4th day at the gym with the same battery).
NEGATIVES
1. During aerobic exercise, while sweat starts dripping from your face, the earbuds gradually come out of the ear.. you feel it and try to push them in deeper.
2. When I receive a phone call, everyone hears the external sounds excessively, to the point where I can't speak if I'm outside and in a noisy place.
3. And something not so important. The charging cable is too short.
You don't cry your money does what it says, nothing less nothing more, the sound of music is good if you listen to music with the application that has it in 360 degrees there is no feeling that you are in a studio and it leaves you speechless magic, after ten days of use telephone conversations have an issue, I hear them clearly but they don't hear me I'm looking for a solution before replacing it
I mainly bought the headphones for speaking.
My conversation partners can't hear me, they hear a lot of noise now, so I only use them for music, but my ears hurt after a while.
Wasted money for me.
Due to work reasons, I wear them all day. I don't need to wear both to communicate. Just after about 3 hours, I feel discomfort in this one and switch to the other earphone. It's definitely value for money
Your interlocutor hears you well. I would say it's fine. Bell. The problem is that as he hears your voice, he hears any surrounding noise amplified. So, a girl who was speaking softly 3 meters away, my wife would ask me who is shouting. When I was having a coffee, all the sounds were amplified, she would tell me that there is a lot of noise and she can't understand me.
These are the second headphones I buy, so I don't have much experience, so I will settle for a comparison with the previous ones I had from Xiaomi in the 30-40 euro category.
1. They have a very good fit.
2. Quality construction & beautiful (packaging & contents).
3. Very good sound quality & communication in calls. (with the old ones, I heard my voice double and they had interruptions).
4. Easy removal from the packaging.
5. Can be used daily and the battery doesn't drain at all.
I would like a longer charging cable, although we all have thousands of cables that we don't need.
Observations:
1. If you wear both headphones at the same time, it's like wearing earmuffs, positive for some and negative for others.
2. I can't talk on the Viber application, although it recognizes it, it doesn't transfer the sound (I may have done something wrong in the settings), it works fine on all other applications.
In conclusion, I believe they are worth their money (70 euros).
In a few words, they are good for 50€. I don't have much knowledge about earbuds, but compared to more expensive and larger over-ear headphones:
-The sound is good and powerful up to 80%-90%, but it loses a bit at maximum volume.
-They connected without any problem to my mobile and computer (Windows), and they are quickly detected when taken out of the case.
-As for comfort, I can't say for sure since nothing sits well in my ears, but overall they are good and they come with 3 sizes of silicone tips for adjustment.
-They don't have many smart functions, only pause/play, next song (on the right), and volume control (on the left). They don't have noise cancellation and they don't stop the music if you take them out of your ear, only if you put them back in the case.
-There is some competition at this price range from the LG-fp8, which I have seen for 55€ before, and also the Google Pixel Buds, which are priced at 75€.
-I liked their packaging because it had a little plastic and the box was made of recycled (probably) cardboard. It was small and durable with the necessary items inside. Honestly, I'm tired of collecting useless accessories from other devices and throwing away large plastic packaging that is 80% air
The headphones are as described by most comments, something that is not mentioned anywhere, while on the internet the problem is often mentioned and there is no solution, is that the headphones produce a white noise sound, a static noise which is quite annoying when the headphones are not playing anything or the volume is low.
With concerns and a little search as they are the first headphones and I mainly wanted them for music, Sony does not disappoint. Very good sound quality with satisfactory volume. However, it is true that they could have a little more volume overall, but they do it for device safety issues. Personally, it didn't bother me at all because the sound fills me completely and I never had to turn it up to the maximum.
The application is good, the DSEE does its job and there are also the classic settings in the equalizer. It has been connected to a mobile phone, smartwatch, laptop without any problem.
They fit very well in my ear. They are super comfortable and when you get used to them, you forget about them altogether.
Overall, I did not regret it at all for their price. They are worth it.
