Very good choice and of course better than any other flatbed scanner on the market for 35mm. For color scanning, it does not have infrared, if your budget allows it, get the next model. I have had it for about 4 years and it gives me very good results. The only negative thing I can think of is the speed at which it scans at high resolution.
