Update: it has encountered a few glitches here and there. It has been reset, but you never know... Otherwise (a few months later), still relatively good.
It is MUCH faster and smoother to use than I expected! So far, it is definitely worth the money.
The battery is good. I just expected something more from a Nokia.
Also, it seems to have some agreement with Google as it has all Google apps (and the gallery - so I downloaded another) and a mandatory search bar at the bottom.
I have been using Nova Launcher for two other phones, so I easily bypassed that as well.If you want it for photos, I do not recommend it.
It will surely have settings that can be improved - maybe a lot! - but as it is custom, it is not something great.
Still, for the money, it is fine.I do not play games, so I have no opinion on that.
For everything else: it does its job, and very well indeed!

Years owner of Nokia and I can say that the phone is a big failure.
It constantly freezes, doesn't close applications, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The alarms don't go off when they should and sometimes they just vibrate. The latest thing it does now is to set the screen to lock in 1-5-10 minutes <<YES, sure>> and it locks in 30 seconds.
The fingerprint sensor, let's not even talk about it...

*Got Android 14*
First disadvantage, the wifi hotspot, high temperatures, battery drain... the comparison with the 100 euro xiaomi from 2020 that I have as a 24/7 hotspot with another sim, has a battery with one foot in the grave and still lasts longer than the g22, it also rebooted from time to time when working as a hotspot, that stopped when it got Android 14.
Second disadvantage is the weaker WiFi compared to the cheap mediatek chipset I had before, almost 20% weaker and disconnects more frequently (if you don't have full signal already in your rooms, you will have 100% disconnections....and it doesn't reconnect by itself unless you go next to the router to catch full signal), so you will either need +10 euros for an extender or create a WiFi shortcut at home to manually connect! The signal must be at least "fair" to avoid disconnections.
Third disadvantage, the screen while I have it set to lock after 2 minutes, often locks in seconds, they have generally made a mess regarding energy saving.
Cameras, video calls, etc., do not interest me, I mainly wanted a phone for secure 2FA, that is not a sieve in terms of security (just google "android cve") and some browsing/scroll of doom in bed, for this use it works great, the android is clean, the only bloatware is HMD's "my device" which neither bothers nor consumes resources.
What made me buy it is the *monthly* security updates until April 2026, there is no equivalent for this money, all the others are on a quarterly cycle, with a max of 2 years from the release date.
